The Destroyer Is Manifest!

Indeed it is. Would you like some? *A cup appears in his hand along with a pot of green tea.* As for what I want from you that is simple enough. I want you to continue controlling your little cult or even rising up another one assuming its all fallen into Bones' hands. You can pretty much do whatever you want for now but I might occasionally pop up to request help. We keep this arrangement for a time and you might even be able to pass over the next time you die rather than being stuck here until I decide it is time to release you.

The Dream Realm (Sorry Megan >.<)

A harsh wind whips up through the sands, hot enough to scorch the unwary to their soul. Megan feels an eerie emptiness about this place...

"What is this place?" asked Megan as she walked around. The chibi at once began to run to see if she can find something.

Academy City
The Chibi lowers his Uzi.

"Hmmm, agreed. Although I've been trained not to question orders, I'm beginning to question my employers purpose. I was informed that he was attempting to create a link to the Dream Realm, the home of our ancestors and our protectors the Guardians. Why he would do such a thing, I do not fully know. If my older brother were here he might be able to provide better explanation... I might have some idea though about what my employer, the one you call Lord Bones, is seeking after though."

Caine nods, allowing herself a slight smile. "Excellent. So your employer is the one called Lord Bones?" She thinks for a moment. "I recall him having an installation on an island off the coast, where he hosted a conference or convention of sorts, although it did not seem to end well. Beyond that, we don't have much information on him yet." She turns her attention back to the Chibi. "Can you tell us what you believe your employer is seeking? Or should we contact your brother? I'm afraid it seems like time is running short, and is thus of the essence..."

The Gateway

As the CTC drone approaches the rift, a strong gravitational force begins to draw it in...

The drone, being a purely mechanical construct, has no fear of entering the portal as ordered! Although whether or not it can return, or even continue to send a signal to the waiting CTC forces remains to be seen.

"What the hell?" Julia asked herself as she stirred, examining her surroundings

Light, meanwhile, examined the aura and determined that there was nothing she could do about it. Instead, she looked around for any alternative path out.

The Dream Realm

Off in the distance Megan spots an ominous reddish hole in the sky. It seems to be bleeding into a realm of darkness, blacker than the ace of spades. As for Julia, meanwhile finds herself on a massive sand dune in the middle of a seemingly endless desert. High above flocks of mysterious birds and ominous snake creatures scamper across the blue sky, no doubt troubled by the things going on in the Material Plane. Oh, and for some reason there is the faint echo of a didgeridoo playing in the background.

Odd...


The Academy City Shrine

"Certainly, but not here. Do you have somewhere private where we can talk? As for my brother, I'm afraid Bones has him working in the Pyramid of the Sky. It's all the way on the other side of the city."


The Temple

"Aye, it appears so, but for what end? Oh well, not matter. While I would have been granted more flexibility with a live sacrifice, I should still be able to pull off my plan."


Outside Muffinville

"Thank you," says Stone Beak, politely accepting the cup and taking a sip. "I doubt I can continue my operation at the Pyramid. The stupid human either killed or captured most of my loyal followers. Besides, my reputation is surely going to decrease thanks to my humiliation in being a sacrifice... Still, if it is a cult you desire, I think I can create one from scratch. Fortunately my patron, the Smoking One, is a proponent of ecumenism. I do have one small request that might make this task easier though."


Muffinville Park

The Kaiju continues staring up at the portal, granting the Mecha a perfect attack of opportunity.

As for the drone, it continues to be dragged into the portal, entering a realm of cold and darkness. For a moment or two it loses all contact with the CTC troops down below..

The only quick way out is to either go back the way she came, or to go out through the other ear.

Blaze sighs and nods.

"Okay... guess I'm stuck her for a little while longer huh?"

Megan shiver lightly as she saw the hole in the sky and wonder if she had to go into it if she wants to leave this place. It did seem like the only option but it wasn't one that she was fond of.

The Academy City Shrine

Caine nods. "Admittedly, I can't take you into the CICF, but we have a command vehicle nearby that should provide sufficient privacy, if you'll follow me." She turns around, motioning for the Chibi to follow her out of the shrine. "As for your brother... I could arrange an aircraft to take us there, or for another representative to meet with him to discuss the situation."

Murasaki turns her attention back to the downed Kaiju... but she knows that the individual that clambered into its skull is still inside. Instead, for now, she keeps the creature pinned down so it can't cause any trouble.

Outside of the city, Durant pays attention as her aide informs her of the results of the probe expedition. "It appears to be a form of wormhole, sir, perhaps an Eistein-Rosen bridge given that it seems to connect to separate space-times. We've lost contact with the probe for the moment. Some of the technical staff are suggesting attempting to set up a point-to-point laser uplink to maintain contact through the wormhole, since it apparently allows visible light through, but the presence of the gravitational field around the mouth may distort even laser signals that we tried to send through."

The major nods. "Continue to monitor the opening. See if the drone is at least functioning autonomously."

The drone, meanwhile, if it's still intact and functional, attempts to continue its programmed mission! Even if it can't communicate with its senders...

So what are you getting from the dream realm? I seem to be unable to enter it and that shouldn't be possible given that I just reacquired my dream walking abilities.

The Kaiju suddenly snaps back to reality. With a might roar it attempts to shake off Murasaki's Mecha. If successful it then trudges to the Southwest, a serious look on it's face.

Southwest

Meanwhile back in the Temple...

"Your patience will be rewarded soon enough investigator. Once I have sent the Destroyer into the underworld, my organization and I will have plenty of power to share to those whom we favor."

Dream Realm

"It's quite bad, isn't it?" says a mysterious voice from behind Megan. "If it continues, I fear this entire realm will be engulfed..."

If Megan were to turn around, she will see a strange blond haired girl reclining in a nearby sand dune. She gazes intently at the black rift...

Rift

Communication with the drone is soon reestablished. It appears that the drone is currently hovering over a black tropical rainforest. In the distance lies a onyx pyramid, perhaps Aztec? If Raleigh is watching, he might notice that the place is quite familiar...

[Maiden Miki]

"Yeah. I-I-I think so too. Still what can I do? I want to stop this," said Megan looking at the girl.

[Blaze]

Blaze nods and resumes leaning against the wall.

[Raleigh]

So long as it isn't to set me up as some deity in the structure sure. *Hands over his hat.*

"No, it is best that Bones doesn't find out about our alliance just yet. For the moment I'll divulge what information I can, once we're in a secure area that is."

Caine nods at that. "That would make sense. If necessary, we can use a disposable or deniable assets to try and deal with Bones, in order to ensure he remains unaware." As she continues walking, she eventually leads the Chibi ninja past the CTC's perimeter and to an armored command vehicle that is parked nearby, and stepping inside. "I've already asked ahead that the vehicle be cleared of personnel," she explains to the ninja, who (assuming he follows) will find that it is quite empty of personnel, although all of its electronics are still functional.

Communication with the drone is soon reestablished. It appears that the drone is currently hovering over a black tropical rainforest. In the distance lies a onyx pyramid, perhaps Aztec? If Raleigh is watching, he might notice that the place is quite familiar...

The probe scans the immediate area, relaying the results to its controllers, before floating in the direction of the pyramid!

"We've reestablished contact with the drone," ensign Enjo reports to her commander. Major Durant nods, although she quirks an eyebrow as Raleigh comments on the scene. "Can you tell us anything about it, Raleigh?" she asks curiously.

[Feng]

The Park
The crack in the sky enlarges, revealing a swirling maelstrom of black and grey. The gravitational pull, the same that pulled in the drone, suddenly grows stronger and the trapped Kaiju (and the Mecha and Light by extension) find themselves being lifted up. The Penguin flails about, trying to escape the pull, letting out a blast of cold air or two in random directions.

The Temple

The temple complex vibrates violently.

"Success! Hold on to your stockings Investigator. Once I've trapped the Destroyer, this place will rumble like never before!"

Academy City

The Chibi finds a place to sit.

"Impressive place you have here. It puts the sensory technology at my old job to shame."

Dream World

"Isn't it obvious? You have to stop Bones of course. Preferably in a painfully drawn out manner" says the girl grinning.

Underworld

As the drone approaches the pyramid, it can detect more of the green orbs that appeared earlier. They drift aimlessly towards the portal behind the machine.
