Volvado's beams fails to make much of a dent, and any damages he does cause is quickly repaired thanks to a set of nano-machines designed to repair leaks and cracks. Considering the location of the base, Lord Bones has taken extra measures to prevent the windows from shattering. Of course, this had less to do with intruders trying to escape and more to do with not wanting to drown trapped inside a metal death trap...

While watching his twin, Dact can probably see the outside of the installation. Apparently the facility is shaped like a giant dumb-bell with a narrow walkway connecting everything. Something does stand out though. At the base of building, there appears to be a strange set of gears...

Dact looks down at the gears... hrmming. He then takes a look around the room of the laboratory again. Maybe a console could open a hatch... or... something. He was pretty much lost at this point.

His twin, meanwhile, glares at the window refusing to crack... and tries smashing the frame!

Volvado's Neanderthal tactics only serve to make the nanites work harder to break the windows. Otherwise, all that work is just causing him to work up a sweat. Speaking of which... who turned up the heat?

As for Dact, as he enters the lab, he notices nothing much of interest aside from a small key card that has been carelessly discarded by a nearby tank. It looks much different compared to the other key cards thus far encountered.

Dact hrmms again... then shrugs. "Its worth a try." He says, going to fish the card out!

Meanwhile, Volvados pauses in his bashing of the window to wipe the sweat from his brow. "Ugh... this is getting me nowhere..." He grumbles... then drops the I-beam to go look around the lab, his brain beginning to work. "Air vents..." He mumbles... as he looks for one. If this is a underwater base, they had to have vents to pipe in air to all of the rooms. Or else the people would suffocate and such.

Volvados does indeed find an air vent! Its just low enough for him to crawl into, with a little effort, yet currently he is too bulky to climb through. His armor (what with the decorative spikes and enormous shoulder pads) is too big to fit through...

As for Dact, the card is easy to obtain, given that it is merely on the floor...

Dact takes the key! "I'm going to try something..." He says to Volvados, as he heads over back to the door with the swipe strip in it! Trying it there.

Meanwhile, Volvados rolls his eyes. "You do that... meanwhile I will be actually getting out of here." He says, as he strips his armor, putting it into his negaknightspace. Down to his underarmor, he crawls into the vent!

"What's all this shouting about Demon Cats!" says Bones, entering the kitchen with a double barreled shot gun. "I thought the exorcist took care of that problem!"

He turns his attention to Eebon, Nobee, and the poor maid trapped in the melee (who is defending herself as best she can with a squirt bottle).

"Oh, its just two cats fighting over some tuna. Ladies, what did I say about bringing in strays to the underwater base?"


Eebon: I'm not a stray! I have my own room and everything. Gaw!

*Eebon manages to catch herself before she lands on the maid, but gets squirted by the bottle. Mewling a bit in protest, she points indignantly at Nobee... who is enjoying the tuna with a smug look on her face.*

A screen with a number pad manifests in front of the Knight. A line appears with enough space for at least three numbers.

As for brave Volvados, who seems a bit on the lean side beneath his shell, as he crawls through the vent (the Mission Impossible theme playing in the background as legally obligated) he finds himself arriving at a fork in the vent. One direction leads to a place that smells suspiciously of fish. The other, rubber ducks.

Choose wisely! :P


Bones eyebrow raises as he hears the cat talk.

".... You're not related to Ambush by any chance are you?" he asks, lowering his weapon.

He then notices Nobee smugly licking up the tuna before turning to the maid.

"Lower your weapon, I think you've soaked them enough." -_-

There is the sound of low rumbling that last for about a minute and then... Silence. The door that had previously been marked AREA 011: Laboratory, now reads Area 001: Cold Storage.

Volvados continues his crawl in search of the rubber ducky smell! As he continues his crawl, he might notice that he is occasionally getting stuck at the hips. Odd...

Eventually he reaches an opening, the source of the smell, where he sees a pinkish light below.

Meanwhile, Volvados squeezes through the ducts, grumbling as he seems to get stuck a few times. Finally, he goes to peek out the vent opening to make sure he has a clear space to land.

Dact is immediately greeted by a frigid blast of cold air to the face!

Needless to say it is quite chilly. Hopefully the good night has packed a parka in his magic bag.


As Volvados peers down through the grate, he can make out what appears to be a large pool of 'water'. Of course it is difficult to tell exactly due to the intense steam blowing in his face, sending strands of dark pink hair to block his face...

"... damn." Says Dact. "Maybe this place isnt the best to start with..." He closes the door... then tries swiping it and punching in 002!

Meanwhile, Volvados brushes the hair out of his eys! "Ack! Stupid... wait... what?" He says... frowning... that steam coming off of whatever that was was probably not good... he tries to go past it and find another vent opening!

The chamber groans once more as the door changes now to 002 Warehouse A!

As Volvados attempts to crawl his way past the vent, Murphy's Law decides to pay a visit to the evil clone. How? Well, as Volvados inches his way through, hips brushing against the vent as he does, a sudden change in mass suddenly causes him to fall through the opening into a pool of hot water!
