OK, if you're trying not to sound suspicious right now, you're failing SUPER hard right now! *By this point, the maid is quite sure something's going on, and she tries to just reach around Dan and grab what he's hiding!*

[xGoggles]

Considering that hiding it wasn't an option anymore Dan uses his now taller body as height advantage over the maid to hold the lamp above himself, just outside of her reach. "H-hey, I'm serious! S-stop grabbing! Ahh!"

[Ookalf]

I'll stop grabbing if you just shut up and give me whatever you stole! *The maid gets up on her tiptoes to try and reach the lamp, and even starts jumping up and down to get it.*

[xGoggles]

"W-what?.. I-I didn't steal anything..--Ahh!!", with all the struggling and holding the lamp as high as he could, Dan, unfortunately, loses his grip on it and drops it on the ground! With the lamp now on the floor, it is up for grabs to anyone! Dan rushes down trying to get hold of it again.

[Ookalf]

Oh no you don't! *The maid leaps over to the lamp and grabs onto it at the same time as Dan! As she tries to pull it away from him, she tries to figure out what it is they're even fighting over.* What the heck is this, anyway? Some kinda... lamp? Did you steal a genie from Miss Circe!?

[xGoggles]

Right before grabbing the lamp, Dan says, "P-Please, that lamp is m-- Your wish is my command, Mistress..~?", the moment the maid got hold of the lamp, the young genie lets go of it and covers her mouth at what she just said. It also appears Dan had involuntarily returned back to her genie form because of this. "N-no Mistress, I didn't steal anything... I just didn't want anyone to find out that I was a.. genie...", she says now very shy and meek.

[Ookalf]

Huh? Oh... *The maid stares at Dan as she reverts to her genie form.* Y'know, you coulda saved us both a lot of hassle if you'd just said that from the start!

[xGoggles]

"I umm... I'm sorry Mistress... I'm kind of new to this... I didn't want anyone to find out.", she says shamefully rubbing her arm, "C-could I maybe.. umm.. have my lamp back, please?" Dan didn't know why she kept having the compulsion to call the maid 'Mistress'.. also the binding feeling that she has to grant any wish from her was ever so present. Silently she hopes it won't come to that, as she has no idea what to do as a genie.

[Ookalf]

...Eh, fine. Not like I really need a genie, anyway. *The maid shrugs and tosses the lamp back to Dan.* Being called Mistress was kinda nice, though...

[xGoggles]

Dan looks surprised and catches the tossed lamp, giving a sigh of relief, as the feeling of commitment gets lifted. "You.. didn't want to make any wishes?.. Erm, I mean thanks, that is very nice of you, miss.. umm.. What is your name?"
Thinking it might be better to hide the lamp in a bag or something, she focuses to summon a backpack to put her stuff in.

[Ookalf]

*And just like that, a backpack matching whatever Dan's imagining appears on her back.* The name's Katie. And if you really wanna do all my chores or whatever, you can always give that lamp back to me.

[xGoggles]

Reaching out her hand for a handshake, "Nice to meet you Katie, I'm Dan, Circe's apprentice.. like I have mentioned before..erm...I'm not sure about granting wishes for others is such a good idea. From what I have heard their magic is tricky and messes things up... But I honestly don't know. That is why I'm here, to look for books about genies and how their lamp work and what not."

[Ookalf]

*Katie shakes Dan's hand.* Nice to meet ya too, Dan. And if you wanna read about genies, you should check that out. *Katie points to a book on a nearby shelf, Inside A Genie's Lamp.* It seemed inteerestin' the last time I read it.

[xGoggles]

"Ahh, thanks", she says reaching out for the book. "Huh, wait... You already read the book? So you already know what there is to know about genies then?"

[Ookalf]

Uh, I guess? I mean, I'm not an expert or anything, but I guess I might be able to answer a question or two... What do you wanna know?
