*Ellen's eyes close. There seems to be an air of contentment around her, albeit briefly.*
...Mm. So, any new experiments lately?

Not exactly... I did find this odd egg in one of the gardens the other day, though. I've been trying to figure out what it is.

Ellen: *eyes open* ...An egg, huh? That's kind of strange. Unless it was a bird egg or something, but considering the nature of things on the Muffin Continent...

[Circe]

Yeah. I was trying to find it in one of by books when you came in... *Circe shakes her head.* No luck so far, though.

[AmbushCat]

Ellen: *slowly massages her left arm* ...I'm sure you'll figure something out. ...Hopefully it's not a cockatrice egg or something similar.

[Circe]

Yeah... That would certainly be problematic.

Ellen: ...Maybe. *beat* ...Or, maybe not. Your shape-shifting powers allow you to turn into animals, don't they?

[Circe]

Yeah... where are you going with this?

[AmbushCat]

Ellen: ...I did a bit of reading on the creature once. Weasels, for whatever reason, can avoid being turned to stone by them. ...Or, if you'd prefer not to do that, just keep that mirror of yours on hand. Having a cockatrice see its reflection will kill it just as easily as it did Medusa, so long as you stay out of striking range.

((OOC: A slight error with that last one there... technically, that wasn't what killed Medusa. I got my mythology backwards a little.))
