The Mungojerrie: Rolling On (Part 2)

*A new menu appears.*

#1: Six foot pole + cat = Six foot polecat
#2: U.S. State + color = Rhode Island Red
#3: Chicken + axe = dinner
#4: Free + computer = Linux
#5: Random choice

[Harri-chan]

She bites her lip, and presses number five.

[AmbushCat]

*A holographic die forms in mid-air, bounces a few times, then comes to a stop at #3. A coupon appears in the air and floats into Miss Matthew's hands.*

"This coupon is good for free drinks at the Mungojerrie from now until October 17, 2009."

*The holographic image fades out, and the crystal turns to dust.*

[Harri-chan]

She looks down at the coupon, and then groans when the crystal disappears. "Noo!", she gasped, shaking her head. Quickly, climbing to her feet, forgetting she was a fully grown adult, wearing the torn outfit of a 13 year old, she runs to the bar, "I need help! Callista... she's gone!".

[AmbushCat]

*Aldonza pokes her head out of the kitchen. The fox caninoid blinks when she hears Miss Matthews say this.*

Huh? Did she die again?

[Harri-chan]

She looked horrified at the question, "Again... ?!".

[AmbushCat]

*nods* Yeah. She's died at least fifteen times in the past two years, at least. How'd she die this time?

[Harri-chan]

Her gun blew up....

[AmbushCat]

Her gun blew...? Wait, never mind...I know what you're talking about. There's some sort of failsafe on her that automatically kills her to keep her from getting transformed.

[Harri-chan]

Does this mean you can bring her back? Please.. it's my fault..

[AmbushCat]

*grins reassuringly* She'll be back in twenty minutes, my personal guarantee.

[Harri-chan]

Okay... *she mumbles, and wanders off to sit back down at a table, rubbing her eyes and sighing*

[AmbushCat]

*Aldonza looks at her for a moment, then returns to the kitchen. She returns a moment later with a glass, filled half-way through with wine, and gives it to Miss Matthews.*

Consider this one on me.

*Following this, the fox slips off to deliver a message to a certain someone.*

She thanks her for the wine and begins to sip it.

*approaches the table* I just got word that it'll be another fifteen minutes or so before Callista is able to return, alright? *smiles*

Now, if you'll excuse me, there's a bad guy that needs booted back to the slammer.

*Aldonza rolls up her sleeves, then heads for the turbolift and exits.*
