He nods, and then chuckles. "Could be worse... he could've been a Knight Rider!"

Ellen: *curiously* ..."Knight Rider"?

Mischa laughs! "Not quite in that sense," he says. "I mean, Muffinville and its environs are more than big enough to offer pretty much any standard job you could want -- whether it's working in the kitchen of some fast-food restaurant, or data entry in an office, or whatever. But at the same time, those kinds of jobs don't offer much unique or interesting... one of the downsides to working with NPCs, I suppose."

He shrugs. "I'm not sure what would make for a more interesting job, though. Even places like your shop see only occasional business..."

"Ahh, it's a television show from the 1980s, about a guy who had a super high-tech car and used it to solve petty crimes. I suppose Ambush might've understood the reference, at least..."

Oh, right. Guess I can't help, then...

Well, I was thinking about offering a job at one of my places... But, like you said, I'm not all that active.

Mischa grins. "Well, that makes two of us, then, so I don't think that'd be an issue. What kinds of jobs would be available?"

Well, you could be a maid here, or a waitress at the eatery... I guess we could find some way for you to help out at the shop, too.

Ellen: ...Oh. Sounds like something my brother would like to watch. *shrugs* ...It wasn't Mom who started calling him "Knight Boy", but I can understand why you'd think that.

"Hmm, well I've worked in a restaurant before so I'm not sure I'd want to do that again... but the maid position could be interesting." Mischa chuckles. "Would I get to swim on occasion?" he asks impishly.

He laughs. "Maybe I'll get some copies of the show for your brother, then! Although I didn't mean to suggest it was your mom who was calling him that -- I meant more that she'd get the joke, is all. She seems like a fan of 80's stuff?"

Certainly. The maids do get some time off.

Ellen: ...Late 80s, early 90s... shows in that general time span. ...Heathcliff, Sledge Hammer and Danger Mouse have been long-time favorites of hers.

"Well, I think it'd be worth a try," he says, stretching a bit in the chair. "It'd at least give me something to do!"

"Ahhh... slightly after my time, I think, but still lots of fun." He grins! "So what has she been up to lately?"

All right. Think you can sit still for a moment while I cast my spell?

Ellen: ...Not much, really. She does her managerial duties at the Mungojerrie whenever the mood strikes, but aside from that she's been spending a lot of her time sleeping. I think being the demigoddess of sneak attacks is starting to get to her.

"Awww, that's too bad... I always found her sneak attacks interesting. Then again, sleeping all the time does seem rather cat-like, in my experience," Mischa says.

Circe wrote:All right. Think you can sit still for a moment while I cast my spell?

Mischa nods. "Sure thing," he says, lying still on the chair.
