Light Shines Brightest in the Deepest Darkness

The drones may notice that whatever this darkness is, it isn't color energy. And while some of the shadows moving around the city seem to have had some exposure to color energy, they're not like Avatars or anything.

One can't be too careful - anything that can distort reality enough to cause large scale changes could be worrisome! The drones start trying to examine the apparently mobile and independent shadows.

[Ms Chieve]

Sparks fly as the nails come in contact with the shield that appears arround Ms Chieve..."Not everyone here is as helpless as you seem to think darkling. My master sees fit to provide the best for his servants." she says while trying to suppress a shudder over how close those nails came to actually penetrating. Her scanner is useless now however due to the emitter being cut off...

Yuu halts for a moment at seeing this, noticing that the shadows had become a cute girl. "Focus!" He shouted to himself as he shook his head. "There's nothing innocent about this." He puts on a pair of crackling gloves and attempts to punch the shadow girls!

They are hit, but the blow barely seems to phase them! One of them slashes at Yuu with her claws!

"Hmmm... what do you want?" Kazuya said to the catgirl, clearly a little irritated.

The catgirl is staring at the hand that Kazuya conjured the dark power from!

A heartless is it? How cute. My dear, what are you seeking to do exactly?

The being stares at Raleigh like it's unsure whether it should get closer, attack or run away.

It stabs it's hand into the poor thing's chest and takes out what looks like a glowing pink heart. Not the biological heart, the other kind. THe NPC's body vanishes into nothingness and the shadowy being disappears.

Acting quickly, Yuu reaches for his belt and activates a barrier to protect him from the slash. He then turns around and attempts to run!

The barrier handily deflects the claws! But the girls are relentless and chase after Yuu!

The catgirl is hit with dark energy, but doesn't seem phased. In fact, she smiles and rubs against Kazuya, purring.

Yuu curses and looks behind him, only to trip and fall flat upon his face. "Crap!"

Kazuya just sweatdrops, "So what do you want?" he tried asking the catgirl.

The barrier seems to be holding at the moment, but Ms Chieve starts to look a bit panic stricken with the increased number of creatures now appearing. She tries to reach her hidden master but with the broken emitter from her device, what are her chances...

From the darkened office hidden in the folds, an individual can be seen watching the scenes unfold. A evil grin glints in the low light of the monitors..."enjoy your trial, Ms Chieve. No one fails me..."

Somewhere in town, and at least a bit separate from the other events, a flash of light seems to beam down from the atmosphere, landing on the ground and then instantly disappearing to reveal a person. The person in question is a woman (about mid-twenties in age) wearing a closely drawn ankle-length skirt and a plain black t-shirt. Her left arm appears to have been cut off at the elbow quite some time ago, and has a healed stump there. Her right arm, however, is in working order, and has a strange metal gauntlet with some sort of glowing white orb set in the back of the hand. With a slight motion, an ordinary Kingdom Keyblade appears in the right hand as she looks around. "Well, this is the place. Should see some action soon unless the dimensional reader is on the fritz again..."

Meanwhile, there's the steady drone of an approaching vertol, as the CTC deploys a reponse team to try and help the unfortunate citizens of Muffinville!

Until he lands on a large platform, seemingly made of stained glass! It seems to depict him to one side, slumping with his eyes closed, with smaller pictures depicting those important to him. His family, Amara and Eri and his rival Ritsu
