Brotherhood HQ: Grand Re-Opening

[Feng]

"Pish posh!" retorts Bones. "You should enjoy a cup of tea with myself and the chevalier. Despite his cromangnum demeanor, I dare say he makes passable company."

He motions to the maid. "Lucy, please acquire a chair for our guest."

The maid curtseys and goes forth, presumably in search of a seat.

*It's clear that Bahija is extremely reluctant, preferring to get back to work; in particular, she's eyeing Dact rather warily. Finally, heaving a deep sigh, she acquiesces to Bones' request.*

Bahija: Well, alright... just so long as I'm not stuck for an eternity and a day. Someone has to keep these jokers in line in my boss's absence, after all.

[Knight Errant]

Dact is sipping his tea. "Mmm... alot of what you said raises some rather large red flags. But I won't ruin the moment right now." He says to Bones.

He notices the sheep girl eyeing him up and raises his cup to her. "Evening, miss. Just wondering what you have going on here."

Bahija: *holds the clipboard under her arm* An acquaintance of mine (who is totally not my crush)recently acquired some real estate from a retiring philanthropist. She didn't just want to have it go to waste, so she hired me as a full-time supervisor.

[Feng]

Lucy returns with a comfortable chair, setting it down under the shade. She then offers Bahija some tea and sandwiches.

"A philanthropist you say? How curious. And what is it that you are supervising, my dear?"

[AmbushCat]

*Bahija accepts the offered tea and food, sitting down.*
The day-to-day operations of this old group called 'The Brotherhood'. *mutters* Still don't understand why she's making me wear these slacks...

[Knight Errant]

"Huh... haven't heard of them."

[AmbushCat]

Bahija: That's not too surprising. With a few exceptions, the group's been defunct for... I'd like to say at least seven or eight years. If this were a story they'd have been antagonists, though they tended to fight each other as much as they fought anyone who opposed them and generally weren't that much worse than nuisances. People like "Snow Dragon", "Himitsu", "Colonel Caprice"... they were all leaders at some point or another.

...Or so I've heard from the stories. *sips her tea*

[Feng]

Bones blinks, face looking slightly pale.

"The brotherhood owned this place?" .___Q

Bahija: 'Used to own' would be more appropriate, sir. With the blessing of its previous leader, everything that the Brotherhood is, was, and will be now lays in the hands of---GEEEAAHHH!

*Bahija's shriek was caused by her mishandling her cup of tea, accidentally spilling it on herself... and just like that, the sheep girl before them is now a panicking dragon girl.*

Ice water! I need ice water, quickly!

Dact hrms. "Well, what do you hope to make it in... to...?" He trails off as she spills herself. "I... um... wow. Try to calm down, miss?" She looks really cute for a dragon...

[Feng]

Bones stares for a bit and then signals for Lucy to fetch some ice water. The maid returns with a bucket of ice (complete with a bottle of chardonnay)

Lucy: Here you are, ah Miss .////.

*The dragon girl first takes the bottle of chardonnay, places it next to her, then grabs a double handful of ice and presses it against her forehead. An instantaneous change kicks in, turning her back into her prior sheep-girl form.*
Much better, thanks. ...Oh, I didn't introduce myself, sorry. *clears her throat* My full name's a mouthful, so feel free to call me Bahija.

Dact hrms. "Well, what do you hope to make it in... to...?" He trails off as she spills herself. "I... um... wow. Try to calm down, miss?" She looks really cute for a dragon...

Bahija: *wipes off her forehead and grabs one of the sandwiches* I'm sorry. What were you trying to ask me?

[Knight Errant]

"Uh... nice to meet you, Bahija? And... to be honest I thought your other shape seemed fine. Was there something I didn't know? Oh and I was wondering what you planned to do with this building..."

Bahija: *sighs* To answer your first question, I'd rather not be in that form around my boss at any time. It's rather personal, and I'll pay you not to tell her about it.
As for the second question, we weren't able to locate where the Brotherhood had previously been headquartered, so we scoured the city for any old properties that suited our needs. We found this abandoned facility that had previously been a combination warehouse/testing zone, but its owner had gone bankrupt some time ago and was willing to sell it off to pay his debts. As you can see... *gestures at the work being done* ...efforts are underway to turn this place into our new HQ.
