Precisely why it was so funny. I could see getting a 'ninja' like Black Star or Naruto to do advertising but otherwise most of them don't let themselves be seen that often... or at least shouldn't anyway.

...On the topic of Kittenoan heroes, most of them consist of just individual heroes as opposed to teams. Don't get me wrong; groups of four or five are uncommon, but not rare. It's just that a lot of them are fiercely independent, prefer their privacy, or would like to just go it solo... feline mindsets and that. Curtis Wildcat's successful attempt in 1994 to bring whole bunches of them together was the first time anyone had considered creating a group similar to the Justice League.

That makes sense. I take it they weren't often under assault by things like Darkseid or Thanos then if that was the case.

Ellen: ...Not that I know of. They had counterparts to Superman, Batman and Spiderman there, but as far as I know their origin stories and Rogues Galleries were completely different. The only true "supervillain" that I know of was a terrorist/crime boss whose closest counterparts were Lex Luthor and the Kingpin.

No true surprise there. Batman in particular seems to be present in a lot of worlds and times I've found.

I have to figure that if someone like Darkseid did show up, he'd probably go through enough trouble to decide that attacking the planet wouldn't be worth it in the long run. Kittenoan superpowers are ridiculously varied: from mundane things like throwing pies around, silly things like having abilities dependent on a personal scoreboard, run-of-the-mill things like having an acute trap sense, to dangerous things like being completely invulnerable to physical and mental assault.

That leaves spiritual and astral assault then. I really do need to visit that world sometime. Might find me some new employees if nothing else.
