Ickle Harri-chan wrote:"You ARE pretty", she smiled, "... and we can work on the athletic and popular parts". As she was a little late, the majority of the girls were probably already changed and out on the field. Setting down her bag, Katherine started to undress, beginning with her shoes. "When I first started school I was shy too... but... I've learned a lot since then, so when I came here I was determined to be one of those popular girls". Off came her jacket, her skirt, and then the tie and blouse, leaving her stood in her pink underwear as age rummaged through her bag, pulling out a bright yellow cheerleading dress. It was sleeveless, with a white trim around the open shoulders, another around the hem, and had a white school logo on the chest. "Last time I was in school I'd never have dreamed if being a cheerleader, but look at me now", she said with a proud smile as she pulled the dress over her head.
Hearing the guards move around the van, Summer lay on her chest beneath it to listen. From the sound of it, these soldiers were doing the exact opposite of what her Mom has told her the CTC wanted for Academy City. Reaching into her school bag, she pulled out her cell phone, flicking through menus before she got to the video recorder, and turned it on. All she could see were the feet and ankles of soldiers and a girl, but the sound could prove invaluable!
Yuki shifts uneasily and glances around with obvious nervousness as she finds herself in the locker room. "W-well..." she stammers, before her quick mind catches one of Katherine's comments. "Wait... what do you mean the 'last time you were in school'?" she asks curiously.
Meanwhile, Summer can hear the side door of the van open! The other soldiers continue to move around, rounding up the Yellow-infected zombies, but so far no one seems to have noticed her...
Raleigh wrote:That is fine. I'll even come along when you report it to explain the situation. I promise not to alter anyone's memories to make me look good either.
The guards look a little hesitant, but after some discussion the shift leader decides that there's probably little they can do to stop Raleigh if they tried. "All right, follow me, then," he says, motioning to Raleigh as he and a couple of the other guards head down a hallway deeper into the complex. They walk to a nearby communications room, where the techs seem to be struggling to purge the system of the virus that the Black Isles troops planted in it.
"Can we send an outgoing communication?" the leader asks, frowning at the state of the security system before giving Raleigh a glance. "Did your illusionary double do this too?"

Meanwhile as Rick flees, Reya directs her handgun at Rick and fires again at his thigh- nothing fatal, but it should stop him as the lightning bolt arcs from the first man to the second! The first man doesn't seem to be dead, but bolts of energy are arcing over him, paralyzing him in place- and preventing him from even speaking.
"You're not going anywhere if we can help it!"
"Gyaaaaah!" The shorter man cries out as he's struck, before he collapses into a heap on the ground. Rick, meanwhile, makes a break for cover... but Reya's shot goes through his thigh, fortunately missing any vital arteries. He goes down with a shout, clutching at his wounded leg. "You... you shot me!" he gasps, but that's the only words he gets out before the lightning arcs over to him next! Now both men are down on the ground, held paralyzed by Maris' electricity!
Marky wrote:Sam pauses for just a moment...and that's about how long it takes for her to decide, quickly shaking her head. "No! If this is the fun you talk of..." She says, pointing back at Alyssa and Jon. "...I don't want any part of it!" Sam yells, keeping her flail steady.
The young girl in the cloak frowns at Sam's response. "If you're going to be that weak, then so be it!" she shouts, energy crackling around the tip of her wand. "I'll
make you understand! From now on, you will serve
me!"
Leaping to the side, she swings her wand about, sending the sizzling energy towards Alyssa!
KonokoHasano wrote:Ashley disappears and reappears right next to the girl. "Actually, I thought you all were taking this too seriously and weren't having fun with it." He reaches back and scratches his neck. "I mean, really, I wasn't trying to cause any deaths or anything, just some relatively harmless pranking. No double standards about it, so get your mind off of the thought." He sticks his tongue out at her for a moment.
"... though I guess I probably should have expected some retaliation like that, huh?"
The girl in the uniform seems unfazed as Ashley reappears beside her, crossing her arms as she turns to look at him. "I understand that you weren't trying to cause any deaths -- preliminary analysis suggests the changes you caused are even temporary, which at least shows you have some character, unlike that lot you seem to have fallen in with. However, did you even stop to consider what impact your changes might have had? The structural damage and graffiti you caused is repairable, but what about the people you transformed or manipulated? What if one of them was a young man going to propose to his sweetheart... but because of your tampering, he will forget until it's too late and she's left, feeling stood up? Or someone going to a job interview, but because you've changed their gender they'll be unable to make the appointment, and thus lose a chance to get employment?"
She shakes her head, tsking. "Your pranks may be relatively harmless in the long run, but they're still traumatic for their victims. Ultimately, you're more like a bully who feels that, just because he
can mistreat others, that he has every right to do so. Sure, he'll say 'It was all just harmless fun!' after shaking down other kids for their lunch money, but that doesn't make what he did any better for his victims."
Azathoth wrote:"Soldier, answer that." Says the Field commander. "Medic, give her an injection of diluted agent Yellow." The soldier turns, pulling a latch on the side of the van as the door slides open. The medic takes out a syringe, injecting the ditzy girl with a faint tincture of yellow. She would feel like ice water was poured into her veins... cutting through the ditzy fog somewhat.
"Once again... who are you?"
The soldier opens up the side door, but... no one seems to be outside!
The girl squirms a bit at the medic. "Like, I don't really like needles and stuff..." she protests, but is forcibly injected! As the substance flows through her veins, she shudders... but then her eyes seem to take on a greater degree of clarity. "Who am I? I am..." She glances down at herself. "I
was Eric Benton. I guess I'll need a new name now..." Her expression becomes a bit more speculative. "... You guys really aren't CTC, are you?"
Azathoth wrote:Squad Gamma withdraws! Or... does it. After reaching city limits and the range of any scanned detection sensors... the van begins folding outwards... almost like something from transformers. Columns of electrified equipment and cooling towers unfold as the front opens up into a strange and complicated pincer-like device. Energy gathers between the pincers, as they project a rift in front of the van, which is subsequently drives into.
Now in a space between dimensions... the van navigates through planes not meant to be seen by man. Eventually cutting a hole open back into reality... into what would be the outskirts of the old Sand Academy, inside the quaranteen zone.
The van passes through the space between dimensions, finally returning through another portal into the reality of the Pastrylands, into what was once the outer boundaries of the Sand Academy for Young Women! They find themselves in a broad, empty dead zone. The surface has been stripped down, the grass and topsoil stripped away to only leave a bare and dusty field of rock and sand. Clouds of dust swirl about here and there, although something seems a little odd about some of them.
Scattered across this empty field they can see armored bunkers, buried deep into the rock. They don't seem like defensive bunkers, with no signs of weapons or even gunports, but each has a hatchway built into the top.
Across the field, located at the heart of the quarantine zone, where the student's union building and other central buildings of the Sand Academy were is the heart of the Color Isolation and Containment Facility proper. A heavily reinforced concrete and steel dome, they can see main entrances facing the four gates in the outer wall, although there seem to be other secondary service entrances located along the length of the dome's wall. A few guards are visible -- drones, soldiers in body armor, and the occasional soldier in powered armor, but they largely seem to be patrolling around the main entrances.
