Maya's Excellent Adventure

Dact nods. "Sounds like it..." He digs in his pack, taking out a pair of blue vials. He hands one to Maya... its cold to the touch.

"Potion of fire resistance. Should cool you down." Dact downs it! If Maya should she would find cool chills washing over her as the heat seems to no longer bother her!

"... you've gotta be kidding me." Ashley said as he kept trying to remove his hands.

The gold idol wouldn't unstick from his hands as the gold was spreading on his body. The room was becoming brighter.

"Oh okay. Giving a girl drinks. How fast you work," giggled Maya as she takes the vial and drinks it. She then shiver and giggled. "Very cool."

Dact glances at Maya as he continues on! "Right... you sure your feeling normal?"

The gold idol wouldn't unstick from his hands as the gold was spreading on his body. The room was becoming brighter.

Ashley growled, but also felt a little curious about what was going to happen. As such, he stopped fighting it and waited for it to end.

Dact glances at Maya as he continues on! "Right... you sure your feeling normal?"

"Yep. I am normal right now. Especially since you are so close to me," said Maya in a sly way as she held on to Dact.

As they walk, the ground seems to be producing the sounds from before. It felt like they were on a frying pan.

Ashley growled, but also felt a little curious about what was going to happen. As such, he stopped fighting it and waited for it to end.

Ashley's whole body was turning gold and it was hard to move. It would seems like Ashley had became a golden statue. A cracking sound could be heard though.

"Err..." Looks for the cracking sound as he uses his magic to try and bring movement back to his body.

Dact looks down at the sizzling floor. "Yeesh... wonder if we are near a thermal vent... or if this is some kind of enchantment... either way we should move quickly. Dont want the potion to wear off while we are still in the frying pan..."

He hurries up!

"Err..." Looks for the cracking sound as he uses his magic to try and bring movement back to his body.

The cracking sounds seem to be coming from Ashley as he could see some on his body. The magic was making it speed up as pieces of the gold was coming off him.

Dact looks down at the sizzling floor. "Yeesh... wonder if we are near a thermal vent... or if this is some kind of enchantment... either way we should move quickly. Dont want the potion to wear off while we are still in the frying pan..."

"Alright," smiled Maya as she speeds along with Dact keeping an eye on his behind. They seem to be still on the heated floor.

Dact continues on! Looking around hurriedly as he advances. Not noticing his armored rear is being regarded!

The cracking sounds seem to be coming from Ashley as he could see some on his body. The magic was making it speed up as pieces of the gold was coming off him.

He proceeds to speed up the process so that he could get the gold off of him quicker.

Dact continues on! Looking around hurriedly as he advances. Not noticing his armored rear is being regarded!

Dact could see charred remains of other people who tried to come this far on the ground. Still he would be able to see some relief soon based on the fact that there was no remains up ahead.

"Try not to speed up too fast now hon," said Maya who was close behind. She then seem to have tripped, clearly not an accident, and was trying to reach for Dact.

He proceeds to speed up the process so that he could get the gold off of him quicker.

The gold plating soon came off but Ashley would seem to look much different from before. The room was shining brightly but it wasn't due to the former gold idol that was in Ashley's hand. It would now seem that Ashley was now the new idol.

(My gosh....this whole 'idol' thing sounded so much better in my head now that I think about it...ha)

The gold plating soon came off but Ashley would seem to look much different from before. The room was shining brightly but it wasn't due to the former gold idol that was in Ashley's hand. It would now seem that Ashley was now the new idol.

(My gosh....this whole 'idol' thing sounded so much better in my head now that I think about it...ha)

[That pun was so painful that I actually groaned. XD]

Ashley just stared at herself for a few moments. "What in the hell just happened?" She asked, looking herself over before looking towards the gold shards to see if they were still gold.

"..." Dact hurries back, gathering up Maya in his arms and then sprinting ahead! He certainly didnt want to add to the charred remains.

Maya took the chance to feel Dact's chest as she was being carried. She had a mischievous smile on her face as they were running. Eventually Dact would reach the part of the hallway that wasn't hot.

The shards were still gold and Ashley would be able to take her hands off the old idol.

Taking her hands off the previous idol, Ashley scooped up the gold shards and put them away, She then started to look around for any other exit or doorway.
