Looking for Blaze

[Blaze]

Blaze traces a finger around the symbol, chuckling quietly

"Always assume that every myth is true Bones. Fantasies grow from a seed of truth. Anyway, let's keep going."

[Feng]

"Very well..." whispers Bones as he continues to lead Blaze down the passageway.

"So... How long have you been in the Paranormal Investigation business? Surely someone of your skill level must have dedicated many years to training and study."

[Blaze]

Blaze nods and whispers back.

"18 years of training and study before I set out to put those skills to use."

[Feng]

"Wow. You must have begun your career in your childhood. There's no way you can be in your thirties." O__o

[Blaze]

"You're right Bones. The moment I could fire a gun I was trained for this job. But let's talk about something else please." Blaze says, her voice terse.

[Feng]

"Fair enough" says Bones, deciding that upsetting Blaze at this point wouldn't be a wise idea. After all, everyone has bits about their past that they don't want to discuss...

A foul aroma fills the air, different from the stench of sewer water and murk. It almost smells like.... burnt toast?

[Blaze]

Blaze does periodically pull down her mask to check for different scents and smells the toast!

"Bones... isn't there a Chibi guardian called Burnt Toast?"

[Feng]

"You're thinking of Smoking Toaster, the Patron of Shamanism, Trickery, Beer and Esoteric Knowledge. Burnt Toast is the celebrity chef on the cooking channel."

He sniffs the air.

"Looks like we're getting close. A divination ceremony was conducted here..."

[Blaze]

"You think someone summoned him?" Blaze asks as she follows her nose!

[Feng]

"Doubtful" says Bones as he heads over to an extinguished fire pit. "Most guardians do not like to be summoned to the Material Plane by their followers and for good reason. While they exercise considerable influence in the dream realm, they are virtually powerless in our reality unless they can find a suitable person to serve as an avatar. Remember Miki? She serves as the vessel for Smoking Toaster."

He kneels down and picks up a burnt stick of essence.

"No, it looks like someone was conducting a divination ritual. Perhaps trying to spy on important events somewhere else."

[Blaze]

Blaze raises an eyebrow and looks around for any clues as to who might have done it.

[Feng]

Blaze will see various foot prints that have dispersed down various passageways. Whoever was here, was here not too long ago...


"I wouldn't delve too deeply into the business of sorcerers" says Bones pressing the symbol of the Orobouros to reveal another passageway. "At least not those who pretend that they're Red Serpents..."

[Blaze]

Blaze chuckles and peers into the newly opened passage.

"Hey, they could be the real deal, you never know."

[Feng]

"Let us hope, for the sake of the city, that they are not" grimaces Bones. "I take it you haven't seen much in the way of Chibi sorcery, outside of the incident with Stone Beak and that encounter earlier anyways. Trust me Blaze, they are no laughing matter, especially not when they're angry. They are capable of such terrifying things that you won't be able to sleep at night knowing their kind is lurking about in the shadows..."

Blaze's eyes widen slightly at Bones's serious tone.

"Wow... all right, fingers crossed it's just some imposter's then." she says, heading down the passageway!
