Ah, yes. Where did I put my mind tod... oh wow. I wouldn't of thought of putting it there. Anyway I'll get it up and running in a jiffy. *The one with the guards sets to restoring the security through some technomancy and liberal application of the deity level OS that is aboard the Avatar.*

Indeed. I've found inspiration comes from a great many things for humans and their kind. Its one of my favorite things about you mortal races. As for the clutter this isn't so bad as you should see my bedroom. It's a mess. *He doesn't mention that its a mess because it has a giant pile of treasure for a bed.*

"I'll be okay," Alyssa says, getting somewhat shakily to her feet and dusting her clothes off. "But... but what about Jon?" she asks, her eyes widening as she turns about to look at the somewhat clueless girl in the care of the other soldier.

"Is she with you?" the soldier near Sam and Alyssa asks, motioning to the other, who glances up, and then gently ushers Jon over to the pair. Alyssa pauses, and then nods, tears in her eyes. "I... I think so..." she stammers, causing the two soldiers to glance at each other in confusion, and then at Sam, apparently hoping for an explanation.

Sam frowns a little and looks over at Jon, a solemn look on her face. "Um...well, the person who was...attacking me and Alyssa...used her wand and hit Jon first...and did that..." She stammers out, frowning, between Jon and the soldier as she talks, before keeping her gaze on Jon, sniffing a little.

Katherine gave Yuki's hand a squeeze as she saw the cheerleading squad and coaches had spotted her as they filed towards the hatches. "I skip one session in six months and this happens... talk about bad luck", she murmured to the young girl. Things felt a little strange now, as she had no idea of what was happening, and it was now Yuki guiding her along more than the other way around.

Summer drew a deep breath as she found herself looking up at the rather large armoured figure, and knew her only chance now was to play dumb. "I... I don't remember what happened. I was leaving school... and the next minute I was being woken up by that guy", she said, pointing at the soldier who had electrocuted her.

The field Commander looks to her, then looks to the soldier. Then back to the girl. "We are behind schedule as it is. Get out of here, kid. And be more careful next time."

The tech goes to flag down a passing businessman, who simply walks past her as if ignoring her, followed by a pair of schoolgirls giggling about a boy in their class! In fact, she can't seem to get anyone's attention -- which is somewhat creepy, as everything else about the city seems profoundly ordinary. In fact, it might seem slightly disturbing just how boring and mundane it seems -- an ordinary, technological city, with no ditzes, or bimbos, or zombies, or ... well, anything Muffin-y.

The tech hmms. "Must not be able to interface directly with the construct." She looks around... her face frowning from the utter... boringness of it. She looks around for anything that sticks out.

The advance team opens the door cautiously, and can catch a glimpse of the back of a young woman in a uniform, who had just walked past. Beyond the door is a long hallway, curving slightly to the opposite side. It's illuminated by panels set into the ceiling, but looks fairly plain, with other doorways visible along its length.

Meanwhile, as the techs and scientists begin setting up shop, one of the computers a tech sits at lights up with a swirling, almost hypnotic display!

One of the soldiers nods and makes a motion to another... as they level a laser rifle and fire at the woman's back, set for stun!

Meanwhile, the tech at the swirling display blinks, his shades polarizing and breaking the image up into pieces. He taps at the computer... to see if it is a screen saver.

Also Meanwhile, the rest of them begin trying to hook up and examine the computers, networks, or what have you within their reach!

The dorm head smiles as Reya appears to relax more. "Well, let's be on our way, then, girls," she says, offering each her hand, before leading the way out of the dorm. "The closest shelter is located at the outskirts of the academy grounds. The authorities that run Academy City consider each of its academies to be vital resources, and prioritize the protection of our students. As such, each academy contains a neighbourhood shelter, which has enough capacity for the local populace. There are other shelters located in other community centres and parks, enough for the thousands of people that now live here in Academy City."

Her voice has taken on a lecturing tone as she walks briskly, and soon a squat structure comes visible as they round a corner. It appears nondescript, and they may not have even noticed it before, assuming it to be a utility building or something similar. But it now is apparent that it is in fact well armored, offering access to an underground shelter.

Maris takes in the dorm head's lecture energetically, but Reya still seems to have an odd detachment about her as they wander along, almost as though she's not really 'there'. She doesn't walk into anything, at least, so she at least seems vaguely aware of her surroundings at least. Despite this, Maris likely prevents the dorm head from noticing Reya's detachment because of her incessant questions about why the city would need so many emergency shelters, what they're made of, how many shelters there are to begin with, how old they are, if they have roller coasters, where the public pools are... yeah, she's getting a little side tracked.
