"I thought we'd start of with something fun, just to help us to get to know eachother.. so I got you these", she says, smiling and reaching into her bag, she pulls out a couple of English essay books. "We've got a table reserved over in the corner, away from that dreadful noisy arcade as possible!".

Eebon: *looks crestfallen for a moment, then recovers* Oh, well...guess summer vacation couldn't last forever. Gaw. *to Megan* Okay!

*Echo is already trotting towards the table in question.*

She follows them over, and settles down into her chair. "So, what are your names?", she asks.

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: I'm Eebon. *sits down* Full name Eebon Harrison, gaw.

Echo: I'm Echo, also a Harrison. *switches to a telepathic voice briefly* Forgive me if I talk like this sometimes. My voice is not too good.

[Harri-chan]

How old are you both? You... kinda look about the same height as me, Eebon... I wasn't expecting that...

Eebon: *thinks for a moment, then speaks* I'm about...a year and a half old. *takes another look at Megan* Wow, I'm almost as tall as you? How come I never notice these things? Gaw.

Echo: I'm the same age. *telepathic* If we were the same species, we would be twins.

[Harri-chan]

She smiles and relaxes when she heard she was safely far older than the children, and flips open her own essay book. "Okay, what kind of grades do the pair of you get?".

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: *trying to remember her previous marks* Lessee... B- in math, C+ in social studies... um, B- in writing, C in English, B in Science... gaw. I'll be starting 2nd grade in September.

Echo: Most schools do not take cats as students. Hard to write without thumbs. *telepathic* Mom gives me mental exercises to do in case I am ever accepted.

[Harri-chan]

She nodded thoughtfully for a moment, "Well, we'll see about getting that English up to an A for a start... perhaps we can even find a ball of yarn for your brother!".

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: ... *smiles excitedly* Cool! Maybe Eebon won't be harped at for bad speech habits anymore! Gaw.

Echo: *tail twitches a bit* Sounds like fun.

[Harri-chan]

Her head tilts a little.. "So Eebon, do you go to school with other kids your age.. ?", she asked.

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: *nods* Uh-huh! Sure do! Gaw.

[Harri-chan]

What... is that noise you keep making? You really should try and stop that...

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: *giggles nervously* Um, about that...

Echo: Bad habit. Mom's house-keeper makes that noise whenever... *switches to telepathy* ...he finishes saying something. Eebon picked it up as a baby, and now she just can't stop.

[Harri-chan]

Well, we've found another goal then, to stop you saying that.
