*Echo reaches over and swats the back of Eebon's head.*

Eebon: *winces* Sorry, sorry! It was too tempting to say! Gaw!

[Harri-chan]

She bites her lip, watching the kids for a moment, "Since she's your sister... I guess it's okay for you to do that... so every time she says it, you know what to do, right?".

[AmbushCat]

*Echo meows an affirmative, nodding a little to make sure that it was understood.*

Eebon: I'll try, I'll try! *bites her lip in an attempt to keep the verbal tic from escaping*

[Harri-chan]

Megan smiles brightly, "You did it then! Gooood girl!", she says in a slightly patronising voice.

Eebon: *nods enthusiastically, missing the patronization altogether* Thank you, thank you, g---Miss Matthews!

Echo: So, you mentioned helping with English?

[Harri-chan]

"Yes! These books will help! I want the pair of you to each do an exercise each night... uh... perhaps work together, so Eebon just writes down the answers you come up with".

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: *opens one of the books; nods* Some of these seem rather easy enough. *bites her lip*

Echo: Long as you stay focused. You've always had that problem. *to Megan* I will do my best.

[Harri-chan]

Oh, trust me, they get harder the further into them you go!

Eebon: ... *hurriedly flips through the pages; pales* Aw, man... I've died and gone to Detroit!

Echo: *confused* De-troit?

Eebon: They hired autoworkers to design this book! It's the only explanation!

[Harri-chan]

Right, you two make a start. I'll be back in a few minutes! *she says, sliding out of her seat and wanders to the kitchen*

[AmbushCat]

*Eebon grimaces, then turns to the beginning of the book to start on one of the exercises in the back; Echo huddles near her, looking intently at the same exercise*

*In the kitchen, Aldonza looks up as Megan enters and grins cheerily*

Hiya, Matthews-sensei. Need something?

[Harri-chan]

She waves a hand, "Could I have three breakfasts? Uh.. no, two breakfasts and... a bowl of cat food?".

[AmbushCat]

*gets to work* Sure thing. *starts working on a bacon-and-cheese omelette for Eebon* Any particular breakfast that you want for yourself? *long tail starts measuring some dry cat food for Echo* I have pretty much everything you can think of.

[Harri-chan]

I'll have the same as the girl is having... *she says, as the omelette was smelling rather nice*

Alrighty. In that case, I'll have another omelette ready shortly.

*continues talking as she works* So, did you find everything alright? Nothing missing or anything?
