Not really, though I would like it in either predominantly coloured black and white or in greyscale.

(I love Ovalisks! I'm not the right material for them though, nobody ever wants to turn a character of mine into one to go spread some chaos!)

Nikkou probably knows me though! I feel so flattered. ^__^

Are you looking for anything in particular? Or should I take a shot in the dark with you, too. ;p

Empyrean Nikkou wrote:Well, since it's been a long time since the last time, I figured, "why not?"

Just Touhou? But variety is the spice of life! If that weren't so, then you'd be denied the existence of many materials that inanimate objects are formed of, due to the mixture and experimentation of various things that don't occur naturally. :O

Well, fine, if you can find me a nice rubbery/bouncy girl avvy I'll give it a spin.

Otherwise, I suppose I'd be curious to see your take on a Touhou avatar. There's certainly plenty of characters to choose from. :3

Do I know you? I didn't know that we had that kind of relationship! :O

Rubber women aren't easy to come by, without it being bondage or pornographic. Maybe I'll find something, though. Until then (if I do), which Touhou character to you have a penchant for?

Like your current avatar? Shouldn't be too hard. Though you'll probably end up asking for something specific once I show you... This!

(I doubt it's you who is the problem. ;p Trust me, Ovalisks are commonly unwanted, and that's why there aren't many people willing to add one into their environment.

<_<

>_>

I'd be willing, though. Hee! ^.~(V) )

I think I'm just one of those stalkers that has a crush on you and follows you around. Like that photographer girl in Bamboo Blade. *__*

As for Touhou, well... I've already got Cirno, Aya, and Utsuho avatars. Hmm. Well, I don't have a Suika avatar yet... or, if you want, either of the Scarlet sisters (so cute!) or Reimu. :3

(Maybe. I haven't done anything with Ovalisks in a while, so...)

It'd be a first. Usually people place a significant distance between me and them. And especially avoid being downwind from me. ;p

It's one of those series that I avoid nabbing many pictures of, for one reason or another, but I'll see what I have.

Actually I rather like the one you posted, I think I’ll use it for a bit. (On the topic of ovalisks, why aren’t they mentioned in the codex?)

I think it's kind of like the Cthulhu mythos. Anyone that tried to add them to the codex went insane.

Either that, or anyone who's encountered an ovalisk was hugged by an ovalisk, so there wasn't anyone left to report on it...

How do you create an Ovalisk, without a current Ovalisk? Can in be done in some science lab way, like how all zombies are created?

Sweet. You can always count on gothic lolita sources. ;p

As for the Ovalisks, you could say that they're a sort of taboo. At one time they were restricted from being roleplayed unless under controlled conditions, with every participant made aware of what they would get into if they decided to join in. The attitude hasn't really changed, but how serious they're used has. Basically, a ningen (human) was almost always guaranteed to be transformed into an Ovalisk when touched by one. Other entities tended to be immune, for one reason or another.

While the Ovalisks evolved over time, becoming much more fleshed out and complex in purpose, people who roleplay them tend to do so from their roots, back when they were nothing but a danger to anyone who was unfortunate enough to encounter them. You know, just cute, adorable, precious little girls with simple minds and single-minded pursuits, which, within the usual context, tended to mean running some unfortunate soul down and hugging them into a virtual clone. ;p

So, while people are still as wary as ever, people have become more reasonable in several ways. One way, of course, is using more than one character, so they're not stuck with one character that's turned into an Ovalisk (because, let's face it, acting like one for any length of time is probably a chore for most people, if not also something they're not even interesting in acting out). Another reason for why people have become more reasonable, is because a lot of people, nowadays, do have forms that wouldn't be affected by an Ovalisk, and thus they don't have to worry about becoming one.

And it probably doesn't hurt that some of you have probably adjusted to being around the effects of violet, which isn't too far away from how a typical (usually young, I'm guessing) Ovalisk acts.

I don't think science could replicate an Ovalisk; or a true one, anyway. Magic? Sure, why not? Otherwise, one can always exist due to the prerogative of whoever creates a context for them to exist in. Or, someone can simply have an Ovalisk character, with or without a known background. I don't think it's required to put any more work or thought into it than when it comes to any other entity that people roleplay as and/or encounter.

I think I like the idea of being turned into one by something other than another Ovalisk, but rather my adulthood being sacrified by someone else and then let loose on the world! But yes, I've always enjoyed AR.

Adulthood is, indeed, a frightening thing to let loose upon the world. :P

It's fun playing an Ovalisk that actually realizes people don't want to be hugged by her. It lets me play adorable stubbornness in taking extreme measures to be able to hug without transforming. (Like a ful-blown bio-hazard suit.) If anyone's interested in getting ovalisk'd, I could re-introduce Nina...

On topic, I do like that avatar you made for Ashuros. Got a full picture to go with it? Maybe a character and/or series name?
