The Destroyer Is Manifest!

[Raleigh]

I think I know how Lina Inverse feels now. How dare it ignore me. I was supposed to wind up leveling the city with attacks that just keep missing by a breath so that later I could blame it on the penguin. That or turn into a giant seal and eat it.

[Jello Shot Mischa]

The Destroyer roars in fury, clearly miffed. It glares at Raleigh with its beady black eyes before little out a low grumble. Suddenly spotting the CTC troops it begins to waddle its way over, toppling any tanks or other forms of heavy artillery along the way. It doesn't seem to be paying Megan or Raleigh any mind for the moment, perhaps deeming them no fun to torment.

RAWR!!!

The CTC are at least smart enough not to fall for the typical kaiju trap, and continue to fire while falling back, the tanks and artillery vehicles doing their best to stay out of the gigantic waddling penguins path! The continuing barrage of electrothermal cannons and rail guns seems to be having no effect upon the kaiju, however, although some of the tank crews try to start aiming for weak points on the enormous bird, such as its eyes.

MEANWHILE, on the hill outside of town,

Major Durant purses her lips. "Hmm... I suppose this is as good an opportunity to field test Unit-03."

"Ma'am?" her aide asks, blinking slightly.

The major smiles. "Contact Special Unit 03. I'm ordering Murasaki to deploy into the field in her Eidolon."

"Y-yes ma'am!" The private salutes, and hurries into the command vehicle!

Moments later, an enormous transport plane comes into view, approaching the city from over the horizon. From its underbelly, a large anthropomorphic mecha drops free, thrusters jets on its back blasting to brake its fall as it lands in the penguin kaiju's path, interposing itself between the monster and the retreating CTC ground forces!

[Blaze]

Blaze suddenly tries to pick Megan up and carry her under her arm!

"Sorry. You're needed elsewhere."

The chibi is easily picked up as she swings her arms a bit. "Hey! We are busy here! This guy interrupted my show!"

"Sorry, but you're needed for a ritual. I think it'll kill that thing. So... you'll win?"

Blaze steps back into the coffee shop and takes out the Codec Bones supplied her, trying to contact the mastermind!

"OH! I likie. As long as I don't get killed in the process then that is fine," smiled Megan as she let herself get carried.

Hm... should I tag along or wait till I'm summoned? Ah, but I suppose I should see about helping. *Phases out of the material realm for a moment only to phase back in next to Durant.* Aloha Major. Need any help?

The giant penguin kaiju pauses its destructive rampage as it approaches the Mecha. It stares at the giant robot, unsure of what to make of the mechanical being. An eerie silence falls over the park...

A mail portal opens up conveniently next to Blaze. Apparently Bone's minions had implanted a hidden tracking device in her clothes while she was out.

"Just let get in it!" said Megan as she was still looking up at Blaze and being carried.

Private Enjo lets out a yelp, as Raleigh appears out of thin air! Major Durant, meanwhile, simply glances over at him, taking a moment to look over his clothing and appearance. "You must be the entity known as Raleigh, then?" she asks, quirking a slightly smile. "I thought you'd be taller."

Noticing the private hesitating about drawing her sidearm, Durant holds up an arm to forestall her. "This is the D-class entity known as Raleigh, private," she explains. "For the moment, we have a truce with him, so it's unlikely he's here to do us any harm."

The major turns her attention back to Raleigh. "So... I assume you're here because of this situation," she says, with a nod towards the kaiju penguin in the city. "What do you think of it?"

Meanwhile, the CTC's robot stares back at the penguin!

"Major, what do you want me to do?" the pilot asks over the comm network.

"The situation favors a defensive stance. Take any measures necessary to protect the civilian populace and the city, but don't make any aggressive moves unless or until it attacks."

"Tch," the pilot mutters. "Not going to be much of a field test."

"Oh, we'll see," the major replies. "Activate your R2 drive."

"Affirmative."

Outside the mecha, a field of distorted reality shimmers!

[Raleigh]

Yep, that is me. Heh, cute with the height comment. If you wish though I could reform into whatever height you prefer. Aye, I am here to observe and probably help deal with it depending on how things play out. Besides, I figure that I should be on site so as to be ready to thaw out an Ice 9 type situation should it happen rather than being caught busy with something else. You guys having fun testing out new equipment?

Blaze nods and leaps through the portal with Megan! Taking a mental note to burn the dress she was wearing later.

[Feng]

Blaze and Megan arrive to the hidden chamber beneath the pyramid. The uncontentious bodies of the Chibiwanbanshu fill the room, tucked away from the ceremonial circle which appears to have something, or rather someone, in the center. Whoever it is, they appear to be struggling...

Bones waves to the two girls. "Excellent timing! The show is about to start."

The moment of silence passes! With a mighty squawk the gargantuan bird attempts to shove the Mecha out of the way with a mighty swipe of its wing!

[Bigmouthstrikes]

Across the park, a mechanized suit of armor flies toward the Penguin. Julia rides on it's back, wielding an FN FAL.

"Get me a little closer and then you can head out of here." She said.

Meanwhile, Light was also approaching in his default form. He watched the chaos. "What a strange realm, where a destructor appears as a giant penguin. Most interesting."

[Blaze]

Blaze nods and puts Megan down.

"Right, where am I needed?"
