"Oh yes! Sorry for the trouble," said Mia as she smiled and took the hat off her head. She then took the wand and lightly tapped it.

"A stage? You have that?" asked Mia as she looked curious.

"IT SHALL BE DONE!" she says in a voice that radiates power, her eyes glowing and hair rising up for a couple of seconds from a brief surge of magical power. Then she waves her hands in the direction of Melanie the kitsune, and a wave of purple smoke fires off at its target, wrapping itself around her.
Melanie finds herself immediately shrinking, her chest deflating rather swiftly, while her clothes gather together, the middle sections turning white. Her ears and tail shrink a little bit, but remain present; her hair turns a brighter color and shortens to frame her face and stop before her shoulders. Soon all signs of maturity are gone, and she is left at the age of roughly 10, her clothes shifted to a sailor uniform, though one with a short skirt. Some of the smoke coalesces in front of her eyes and forms a pair of big, round glasses; at the same time her vision alters to make those glasses necessary. She ends up looking like a grade-school kitsune.
Melanie finds her confidence in her own magic thoroughly shaken; she still seems to know how to do all of the stuff she could do before, but will inevitably get a feeling of nervousness, of just knowing she'll mess it up somehow, whenever she starts to cast something. Her magic is directly effected in that it cannot undo the changes made by this curse of a wish, and if she actually casts a spell intended to directly effect another person it has an 80% chance of backfiring--which can take the form of: (1) making Melanie lose a few more months of age, (2) making her feel less confident, (3) having an opposite effect from the one intended, or (4) hitting the wrong person entirely. Of course, she isn't aware of these rules or the associated loopholes..only of the feeling that she'll mess up if she tries to cast any spell at all.
The genie watches all this, tapping a finger on her chin. "Hmm..I don't usually have such a penchant for the dramatic... It feels off to be this faithful to a wish, but it was her fault I got sucked into the lamp in the first place."
((Hope this works for everyone involved.))
