Paging Raleigh -- The Fifth Child

[Raleigh]

Alright, I'll meet you there. *Raleigh turns to walk to the east ignoring that there is a wall immediately there and walking through it. About five doors down that way Ellen will likely see a large entryway into what almost appears to be a medieval kitchen what with the brick ovens and the like there. Amusingly enough though it also has some large regular ovens, a rotisserie, three microwaves, and a few other odds and ends from various time periods. There is a bit of racket as someone in a chef's uniform seems to be bumbling around trying to balance some bowls and set them out on the counter. The person's head is still under the counter looking inside at a shelf for some more tools of the trade.*

*Upon Ellen's arrival, she takes in the kitchen's appearance with some level of interest. She barely remembers to get out the person's way.*

Ellen: ...Pardon me.

[Raleigh]

????: No worries little one. *The man stands up and turns to look at her. Ellen will no doubt notice it is Raleigh wearing a big fake mustache and colored contacts. No doubt he is up to being silly at the moment as she knows he can shapeshift better than this lame disguise.* Are you the guest here for dinner? If you will hang on for a moment I will have it prepared almost as if by magic.

Ellen: *playing along* ...Ah, then I shall look forward to a masterpiece, monsieur chef. *gives Raleigh some room to work*

[Raleigh]

????: Righto. Then lets get this started. First to boil some water for the macaroni. *Tries to light up one of the eyes on a gas range. After some fumbling there is a flash and most of the hair, including the fake mustache, on him is burned away as a flame more akin to a flame thrower than a stove eye blasts out. Ellen can most likely hear the blink he does as he steps back.* That wasn't supposed to happen.

Ellen: *dryly* ...Note that "masterpieces" can come in different forms.

[Raleigh]

Oui. Now then to err.... do this other part of the dish and let the stove calm down. *Suddenly begins to blur in rapid movement putting together the rest of the food other than the macaronis. His magic has been actually creating the food under the blur of speed since he really doesn't feel like fighting a pasta monster.*

Ellen: ...Now that is how a being who leaks magic is supposed to cook.

[Raleigh]

*Abandoning the pretense of being someone else.* That is true. Its also the safest way. I remember one time I was camping in the Wild West back in the day and tried to cook some beans. That poor cattle drive... I didn't make it in time to save them. *Sets out the completed food.* Alright, you want to eat in here at the table in the corner or go to the dinning room?

Ellen: ...The dining room, please. The kitchen... doesn't exactly make me feel "safe".

[Raleigh]

Alright. *Directs Ellen across the hall into another room which has a nice sized dinner table. The food follows behind floating in its bowls and plates on a serving tray.* Pick a seat and I'll set out the food.

*Ellen picks a seat towards the middle of the table. The ease with which she does so suggests that she takes a similar place back home.*

Ellen: ...So, how's Aunt Ebony been doing?

[Raleigh]

She is doing well. She should be by tonight I would imagine all things considered. Apparently there were some rats in one of my warehouses that she was dealing with today. *Takes a seat beside Ellen and the food floats over to sit in front of the two.*

[AmbushCat]

Ellen: ...That is good. That she is well, I mean. *picks up a fork and helps herself to a few bites* ...How late do you think she'll be getting in?

[Raleigh]

Probably in the next hour or so depending on if she wants to dally in town with something. She is just now wrapping up with the last rat.
******Meanwhile across town near the Black Pearl Harbor Docks*****
*Ebony cleans off her personal claws having finished with the last rat.* Hmph, weak little things. Their bone structure would have shattered trying to even fire one of them anyway. *She opens up the van in front of her and takes out a large crate carrying it back to put it on the shelf it originated from.* Now lets see who hired you, yes? *She asks the nearest corpse.*
