Swift: *reverting back to the common tongue* --Curses... even the clouds are on crack around here!--

*The Umbreon pushes himself a little bit further, trying to eke out that last bit of speed. It's not really evident if he's succeeding or not, though.*

Somehow or other, the two of them do make it to the doors just ahead of the pouring rain. The only question is whether they were hit by some of the lighter drops along the way...and to that end, the Eevee does have a few damp-looking spots on its fur when it stops, panting, just inside.

Umbreon: *comes to a stop, catching his breath* --That was too close. I'd rather not have----- *shifts into this form mid-sentence* ---to deal with any of that... wait a moment... *checks his...or her, rather... reflection in a computer monitor* ...Crudbunny.

The Eevee, which doesn't seem to have changed at all yet, sits and sees this, reacting with some surprise. "⌬⊓ ⌉⊨⋈⊐ ∵⋈⊓↯ ⊐⌈∵ ⊐∵⋈⌘⍁⊓ ⋄ain does?" Near the end of its vocalization, it suddenly seems to begin speaking comprehensibly, in a young man's voice. The spots of its fur that looked damp before appear to be dry now, and some kind of dark smoke seems to be rising from its body, as if something inside it were burning. The smoke doesn't fill the room or go anywhere in particular, it just sort of fades out of existence a few inches past the top of the pokemon's body.

Swift: *does a double-take, hearing the Eevee's voice and seeing the dark smoke* Huh? Wait... *blinks* Wait, what? That's... nuts--- *stumbles a bit as she tries to move forward* Ugh... haven't been humanoid half a minute, and already I hate it.

"Heheh, I remember when I had to learn to use four legs," says the Eevee, apparently not aware Swift can understand him. Then, his body tenses up and he gets a look of surprise with a touch of pain on his face. "Eh..agh!" He shudders once or twice and then his body is obscured by the bright glow normally indicative of evolution..but it doesn't look exactly right; it clearly has some odd colors swirling around, particularly crimson and blue with a few bits of violet, and a more pronounced version of the dark mist from earlier in a few places.

The Eevee's mouth is open in what might be a scream if it were audible. The body obscured by the glow grows rapidly into a humanoid shape, followed by the Eevee's muzzle pulling in and a tangle of loose hair appearing around the face. Then the ears grow slightly longer, and the tail gets much bigger, as if scaling up to the body's size. The body's shape changes from androgynous to feminine, the hips pushing out and the stomach pulling in, the arms and legs looking slim, and finally the chest pushing out into breasts, not oversized but clearly present.

"--aaaghh.." The glow dies off, and the tail end of a scream can be heard in a high, girlish voice as the Eevee's new form* is revealed. She almost instantly collapses. "Ugh."

((*--But with the 'shiny' white/gray colors to the fur and clothing; eyes are the light brown seen there. I couldn't find a shiny pokemorph, and really liked that picture otherwise))

*Swift tries to walk over and help her, only to find this difficult thanks to... well, being two-legged. Tiring of fruitless efforts, she instead uses Psychic to lift the Eevee-girl into a sizeable computer chair next to her.*

Swift: That's not... normal. Hey, if you can hear me, say something. You alright?

"Uff." The eevee-girl pants for a second or two, awkwardly leaning sideways on the chair's back, before attempting to respond. "..I think I'm okay. Much as I can be. That hurt about as much as turning into an Eevee in the first place..." She moves to a more natural sitting position, slowly and carefully, wincing a little bit with each small movement.

Swift: Good. You had me a bit worried there... So, you used to be human, then?

"Yes, I.." she pauses a second, something registering in her head. "Wait, you can understand me now?"

Swift: *a nod* Clear as crystal.

"...Ohmygosh!" With a burst of energy that seems completely inconsistent with the way she's acted so far, the Eevee-girl jumps right off of chair and straight into tacklehugging Swift, her tail wagging rapidly after she lands. "This is amazing! I haven't been able to talk to people for decades!" she says, grinning widely. "Well I mean, I could talk to some people, but almost never the kind of people I needed or wanted to talk to most of the time."

Swift: WHA~!

*The tacklehug throws Swift right off her feet, and she crashes to the floor.*

Swift: Geh...! That's... nice and all that, but could you please get up? You've got my tail pinned in a painful position!

"Oh!" She immediately pushes herself off of the umbreon-girl using the floor, and stands up, blushing. Her stance is slightly awkward, as if intended for a different body shape, and she is clearly a bit rusty on bipedal standing to begin with..but still a bit better than someone who's never done it before, and her tail seems to be helping all on its own. "Wow, I'm sorry. Um..I have no idea what just came over me. A-as I was saying, I was cursed to be stuck as the Eevee you met earlier because..well, as a punishment for being a pretty horrible person back then. And part of the curse was that I could only talk to pokemon who couldn't themselves talk to humans. I guess the curse wasn't made to handle whatever power is in that rain out there..."

Swift: Don't worry about it, it's alright. I'll manage.

*The Umbreon-girl struggles a bit to get up, getting herself into a position where she can judge her tail's condition. Her ears twitch as she listens to the Eevee-girl speak.*

Swift: *dryly* It explains why I kept hearing you speak in Wingding. And also why I couldn't mimic it.
