Yeah, I guess saving them's the best option I have... I was just kind of hoping for something more exciting than that.

The employee nods, and gets to work. In a few seconds a number of things have been started and she pokes her head out to say, "You know, that thing about pickles is a very good reason to not yell like that. A less tempered person would've panicked and, well, a lot of these burgers and stuff come standard with pickles." Somewhere while doing that she pushes a few buttons on the register and its text changes to "WOW", and then to a price that comes very close to (but a little below) the amount of money in the wad of cash Callista put down a moment ago.

Callista: *smirks at the cash register for a moment* It's how I am, lady. If I wasted my time on trifles like that, I'd never get any shopping done.

Ookalf's burger is high quality and exactly medium rare.

"If you say so. By the way, I'm doing all the meat medium well unless you're gonna tell me otherwise." There is a counter opposite the window (at the back wall of the kiosk) which quickly starts filling with plates, each of which has a different side deposited on it at first, with some empty space presumably for the matching entree.

Callista: That's fine. I like my burgers done that way, anyhow. *takes a step back and waits, her patience a bit better than it was when she got there*

(Un?)surprisingly, Ookalf's burger doesn't seem to contain any transformatives or anything. It's basically just a normal burger, if prepared a bit faster than seems physically possible.

Speaking of which, it only takes a little longer for the plates to start gaining entrees--two or three different sizes of burger patty with various combinations of dressings and cheeses, a philly cheese steak and a few different varieties of hot dogs, a plate entirely covered in different varieties of fried chicken with a different sauce on each small group thereof, so on, so forth. After a while, the employee pushes a button the counter the food is on, opening a wide, short slot that spits out one end of a tray. She starts pulling the tray out and putting plates on it in a fairly efficient manner...and the tray keeps on coming out, being longer and longer, eventually having to rest one side on the front counter of the kiosk, which then starts to grow outward to accommodate the tray. Eventually she reaches the end of the tray/the last food item, and continues pushing out the tray until it's no longer touching the original counter of the kiosk at all. The "table" that the counter grew moves a short ways out from the front of the kiosk while the employee stuffs the wad of cash into the register. It makes a "Ching" sound and opens a previously small drawer on the outside that contains the change left over from the order.

For her part, the employee pauses after all of this, looking over her own handiwork with a bit of surprise, and then mutters, "Yes, definitely. Completely insane."

Hmm... *Circe looks down at the ribbon in her hand.* Well, if it's for me, I probably wouldn't turn into anything too bad...

*Callista has already started tearing through the order. If there are transformations involved, she doesn't seem to have noticed. In fact, little holographic representations of them are floating over her head, sporting boxing gloves and trying to deck the daylights out of each other at high-speed.*

She shrugs. "I'd thank you for the compliment but I'm not actually sure how I'm doing this at all. I'm a trained scientist, not a cook...it's like I just go on autopilot when an order comes in."

An especially magically sensitive person would detect some traces of a transformatives in Callista's food, especially with how much of it is in one place, but it's not...active. As if something has to "tell" it to have that effect on people. And it disappears from the food after being swallowed, too. Not that there's anyone like that around at the moment, of course. The author isn't entirely sure if the inactive transformations could possibly be picked up by whatever might be making the holograms, though.

*If the scientist/cook takes a look at Callista while she eats, she might notice tiny little zeroes and ones drifting off the top of her head before materializing into the holograms. Binary? As far as the transformatives go, though, the energetic adolescent doesn't seem to have noticed... maybe.*

Callista: *pauses long enough to speak her mind, grinning* Giving "hunger strike" a whole new meaning!

*Fire spins out from the ribbon flowing around Circe her hair becomes slightly pinkish her clothing reshapes her feet become bare and red scaled claws. A tail grows from her as do a set of wings leaving her a dragon girl one with a attitude much more oriented towards hoarding and playing with her new presents*
