A thousand-times-recycled scroll of paper, meanwhile, unrolls itself into existence near wherever Viridi is. It contains the message "I'm hoping to arrange an eventual trainwreck if possible. Since you're watching, I'd need you to play along for it to work, assuming the potential is there. You would like to see a trainwreck, wouldn't you? -W"

Well, I guess. *turns off to the side, unwilling to look Whatevr in the eyes* I mean, she did leave me at death's door for more than a year, but that sort of beauty's very hard to ignore.

*A tiny piece of paper---just a Post-It note, really---appears on Whatevr's shoulder. There are no words written on it, only a symbol and a letter.*

"Well in that case, your new curse has a positive side." Whatevr leans slightly toward Acatus, taking on a conspiratorial tone. "Nobody--well, three or four people tops--know you're you. All you'd have to do is use a different name and act a little different and there's no way Callista would recognize you." The note moves into Whatevr's inventory almost as soon as it appears, its message received silently.

... ...Well, alright. I'll take your word for it. Got a name for me that doesn't sound vaguely draconic?

"Hmm...Bahija* perhaps?" says Whatevr after a moment of thought. "Also, I'm sure you got the hint from the first meeting, but she's a little shy about romantic stuff. You're likely to get better luck trying to become friends first and all that."

Viridi: --Ugh... you'll want to take steps to avoid having your mind read, too. Callista's a deceptively powerful telepath, so if she's able to pick up that you're romantically inclined towards her, it'll blow up in your face with all the force of a Bumpity Bomb.--

Bahija: *suspicious* And I guess you have something to solve that? Why should I accept your help?

Viridi: --Both of you are extremely violent, denser than sequoias, and have complete disregard for nature. You've doubtless had your fair share of lovers across the centuries, whereas Callista wouldn't recognize true love if it showed up in the form of lasagna. Pull this off correctly, and it's a match made in heaven! Why shouldn't I help out?--

*Bahija blinks, not having considered that before, then turns to Whatevr in the hopes of having Viridi's statements confirmed.*

"Sounds right to me," says Whatevr, nodding. "I have less knowledge of her full capabilities than Viridi does, having been made by one of her...friends, I think?"

Viridi: --Resurrected, technically. I could still see what was going on---I just couldn't interact with anyone or anything. I've been aware of everything she's done ever since she first set foot on the planet.--

Bahija: So, anything else I should know about before I get into this?

Viridi: --...No, that should be everything.--

*To Bahija, it sounds like Viridi's speaking the truth. Since she's collaborating with Whatevr, though, the werewolf should be able to detect that Viridi's keeping quiet about further details.*

Well, I'm off to tend to my own business for now. Remember Acutus, I'll be watching and I have the locking ladle. *Falls apart into thousands of moths that split up and fly in every direction.*

"See ya!" Whatevr waves at the flying-away moths.

"So wait, did you have something for the mental protection thing or was I supposed to do that?" ('you' being Viridi) "I might have a charm buried somewhere in my inventory with that sort of effect, maybe..."

*Bahija looks back and forth nervously. She seems relieved that Raleigh's leaving the area.*

Viridi: --Depends. Would the charm in question have been blessed by any sort of deity at some point?--

"Let's see.." Whatevr pulls as if from the air, one at a time, a few rings made of varying materials from precious metals to plastic, a brooch, a necklace, and a pen. Shuffling them about in her hands, she mutters "No...no...I don't think he counts...no. Yeah, no specifically deity-blessed things here."

Viridi: --I can fix that. If you have something to protect against mind reading, please hold it up where I can see it.--

Whatevr chooses a plain silver ring from the pile, releasing the rest of them back into inventory, and holds it up for a second before pausing, moving to the nearest tree figuring, 'nature goddess', and holding it up toward that.

((The "I don't think he counts" was a ring made by Sheogorath which spews nonsense into any would-be mindreader in an effort to drive them crazy. Not the one Whatevr picked for this occasion, for obvious reasons.))

Viridi: *with an added echo* --By the will of the earth and all things living, this humble ornament shall provide the protection you desire.--

*A green line, thin enough that it's difficult for the unaided eye to see without a microscope, snakes its way around the ring. It glows briefly, then fades.*

Viridi: --That should do it. In addition to mental defense, possessing the protection of a deity means that even if Callista discovers it on accident, she won't be able to simply delete it by sheer reality hax.--
