Breaking and Re-entering

Fox blurs out of view from speed, dodging the naginata and reappearing on the side of the crystal opposite the sword, and then pauses in slight surprise. "..Apparently I can do that now. Always been more of a power fighter before...

"I think if you actually wanted me to leave, then your shadow wouldn't be blocking the doorway to the exit. Since your changes would've disconnected you from the security system--which was built to recognize me under a lot of contingencies, just not this one--is there anything I could say to convince you I'm just the owner in a different state of being?" He notices a piece of paper pinned to the side of the crystal opposite the door he came in through, but just now it's more pressing to avoid getting stabbed or hit than to attempt to read it.

She lets out a small grunt, "The shadow is there to disband further involvement of you allies, you'd be allowed to leave if you showed any intention to." Taking into thought she couldn't connect with the security system anymore for potential updates on the intruders, she had to rely on her gut feeling from now on, "No!... No word that comes from the mouth of a trickster like you can be trusted, let your actions speak the truth... You and your companions should lower your weapons, surrender and let me escort you outside... If you can return with any of the real owners, I'll gladly welcome you back in"

[Raleigh]

*Floats toward the door with his passenger.* Excuse me, but can I get in. There is a gem in there that is interesting to me. Hey, Fox, that gem doesn't seem to care for crimson energy like it is phobic of it. Come to think of it, Goggles, did you pass out up there?

"It's not the wishing stone itself...seems like a separate ward placed around it, and I have a guess as to why." Fox draws one of his swords again, laying its dull side against his left hand as if considering it. "Well, I hope you'll be able to forgive me, but being young again seems to have made me awfully impatient." He suddenly blurs out of sight again, appears in midair in front and slightly to the left of the former-armor girl with the sword raised in both hands as if he's about to slice her in half, and then disappears again, speeding his way behind her to instead try and smack her in the back of the head with the dull backside of the sword and hopefully knock her out.

The shadow remains mute but responds by aiming its weapon mainly towards Goggles, as she is assumed to be the controller of the hoverboard, even though she actually isn't.
"Raleigh... I'm still here.. just was trying to figure out if this shadow-being was an optical illusion or an actual solid yet transparent creature. I appreciate getting a closer look but, can you back off a little now?" She tells him, not liking to get so close to a blade pointed directly at her, even is she was unsure if it was real or not.

"W-what?!" While her conscious was startled for less than half a second by the sudden blur teleportation from Fox; her combat reflexes already were on the move, ready to block and counter-attack. An aerial melee attack would be a foolish mistake to try against a naginata user with a range advantage. Yet the second disappearance got her completely off-guard; no enemy she faced so far ever was able to evade mid-air, and if it wasn't for the shadow-duplicate distracted by the others, she might have been able to still deflect the attack from behind. Soon the former-armor experienced a weakness she as an armor never had to worry about, a knockout. As she falls to the ground unconscious, her shadow dissapeared and returned to a regular shadow attaching against her body.

It was only a shadow being. Not the greatest threat around. Worse came to worse I would flush the room into darkness for a moment disassociating it. Without a light source shadows disappear most of the time.

After checking at the girl's neck to be sure she's still breathing and still has a pulse, Fox carefully moves her off to one side so nobody will step on her--although of course he's the only one walking around right now. He then heads over to the note on the opposite side of the crystal and reads it aloud.
"To whoever has found this place:
If my plan worked, then I am no more, and he whose presence tormented me is also no more. I left my security system partially active as a test; the sword here is the key to deactivate it and take ownership. The lock lies a few more rooms beyond this point.

"...so I did find a way. I think one of you two will have to pull that sword out. I should warn you, the note doesn't say so but the sword itself is another test. It can see the mind of its wielder and it'll react poorly if it doesn't like what it sees."

Goggles rolls her eyes at Raleigh, "Whatever you say Mr.All-powerfull~"

"Say Fox, is the floor in that room safe there?" she asks Fox while he was still busy with the note. Looking a bit surprised, "Found a way for what? You couldn't drag it out because it repels your crimson color, right? What if it also repels my yellow color?", she asks giving a brief look at her own hand.
Still wondering out loud, "Any idea what the sword wants to see in the mind of it's wielder?"

Well if that is your attitude I suppose you don't need me to save your rear any more. *Disappears from underneath Goggles leaving her to fall to the floor while reappearing in the form of a bird that flaps over to the crystal.* Shall I pull it out then? I'm the only one here not tied to any of the colors in any way.

((I'm not actually clear on whether Raleigh dropped her in the armor room or the crystal room. If it was the armor room then Fox blur-speeds a bit more to catch her and place her in the crystal room, let's just say.))

"This room's floor is safe. That magic would've interfered with what I think I used this crystal for.

"I was a member of a race who possessed certain...powers, and used them typically to enthrall large numbers of humans as servants and..." Fox shakes his head, unwilling to think about it. "I eliminated those who hadn't already destroyed themselves. But my world had a mirror of sorts, another world where the one surviving member of my race instead decided to do the same thing as the others, only smarter and more murderous. He called himself Feral; I can only remember one time he came to Muffinville, but there were probably others. I suspect this machine and whatever energy lay in the crystal was used to erase both of us. I would have made a ward against anyone touched by Crimson specifically taking that sword just in case it didn't work correctly, as a last resort against unwittingly giving him more power. So either of you should be able to draw it."

Goggles being dropped just at the doorway in front of the crystal room, mid-air trying to grab hold of something even though no furniture or anything was nearby, luckily for her Fox blurs in and catches her. if visible through her undead skin, a slight blush would appear, being suddenly saved by some strong arms was strangely comforting? "T-thank you..", happy to place her feet on the safe floor of the crystal room, giving an annoyed glare towards Raleigh.

"So you kind of did have an "evil version" of your race, hmm... Well, I could also give it a try to pull the sword. Not sure about the whole ownership though.. but maybe it will be better used on me than Mr.No-Trust over here", giving an other glare towards Raleigh, while she moves closer towards the sword ready to draw it.

((It was out in the hall as Goggles said.)) Feel free to try first if you want, Goggles. My mind tends to have odd effects on things that scan it anyway.

Fox looks slightly away to one side. "It's more like...the whole race was evil. I was never completely sure I was doing the right thing myself. But Feral was...he was starting to try and conquer other worlds, beyond his own, and I never seemed to be able to stop him." Whatever barrier was there for him seems nonexistent to Goggles.

"Well.. even though your race, color energy and maybe even your past may disagree, ' you ' as you are now Fox, seem like a pretty decent person; like the way try to maintain peace or use non-lethal force against sentient beings. I'm not really sure what happened back then, or how Wolf managed to get erased, but at least someone good came out of it," she says with an honest smile.

She takes hold of the hilt of the swords and pulls.

So that is why they disappeared. *Raleigh has returned to one of his random human forms floating in the air.* I hadn't had the time to check into that yet. *He conjures up a bowl of chicken noodle soup and begins to eat it.* Did you ever consider feeding your race this soup? I understand it is good for the soul. Or at least that is what a book I encountered seemed to indicate from its title.
