Maria: Learning the Ropes (Open to all)

Eiko gives a small nod to Elk. "Squirrels can be athletic like that."

Elk: *agreeably* Amazing how so many of them live in a place like this.

Maria began walking towards the exit, not like she could forget where the exit was already, and would wait outside for Yama if he didn't catch up.

*Without turning away from Eiko, Elk softly hums The Sound of Music's "Maria".*

[Blaze]

Yama inclines his head to Meiru and runs after Maria, back to the entrance.

"After me I think." he says, spreading his wings and taking flight with more urgency than before.

Maria unsheathed her sword and jumped on it once more, but wasn't initially going as fast as Yama was, not thinking they would have to move so quickly, but eventually sped up before she would have completely lost track of Yama. ~He's in a hurry. I wonder...How important is this?~ Maria thought to herself as she followed Yama.

"A lot of them are robots created by Ritsu, since she has a fondness for them. She calls the robots 'Squrrls' without the i or e in the word, and several of them are also created to be like tiny robot squirrel versions of us." Points to the one on top of her head.

[Blaze]

Yama leads Maria to the airspace over Muffinville Center. It consists of a fountain in the middle of a circle with a statue of the late Black Dragon atop it. The street is cobblestone and there are many stores and cafes surrounding it. However, the streets are now deserted and stained with blood... blood that seems to be moving towards the sole person int he center... a little girl sitting by the fountain, splashing at the water with her feet.

"This is... Miss Maria, I have a task for you."

Maria jumped off her sword and picked it up. "I think...I already know what it is." Maria responded and then thought to herself ~As if the bloods movement wasn't a dead giveaway.~

[Blaze]

Yama gives a slight nod, a deep frown etched into his face.

"I want you to separate the girl from either the pool of blood at her feet or the knife she has. Try not to hurt her, she is innocent in all this..."

~Ugh, where's Ryan's staff when you need it.~ Maria thought as she slowly walked towards the girl in a defensive stance in case she attacked, while also being wary of the knife.

The girl turns around and sees Maria approaching, a cheery smile on her face. She stands up, all the blood pooling at her feet and clutches the knife.

"Hello~! Have you come to donate too?"

"Darn it, I don't want to hurt her." Maria mumbled to herself. "Be a nice little girl and put the knife away." Maria said to the girl, doubting the command would work.

Elk: Microsoft Access in rodent form. Awesome, cute, and sweet all in one go! *stares at the aforementioned perched robot*

It gives a bit of a shy wave back.

[Blaze]

"I am nice! I promise, it won't hurt a bit~" the girl says in a bubbly voice as she approaches Maria. She may note that some of the blood pooling at the girl's feet is starting to creep towards her.

"SO stay still!" she says, suddenly lunging wildly, stabbing with the knife!

Maria pivoted to the left and got into a batters position as if she was playing baseball or softball. When the girl got close enough, she was gonna swing the flat side of the blade to knock the girl, or the knife, away. It was a little risky, but it was at least worth the shot, as it would be hard for the girl to dodge Maria's sword due to it's size, and the girl wouldn't quite be able to get a lethal hit in...easily anyways.

[Blaze]

The girl oversteps her lunge and enters Maria's range! The swing seems to connect, but some of the blood flew up and thickened, dampening the force of the swing. The girl is hit on the back of the head and staggers forward, but not enough to be freed of the puddle of blood.

"Owies! I'm supposed to hit you silly!" she yelps, whimpering a bit.
