Light Shines Brightest in the Deepest Darkness

In Muffinville, it seems to be another average day. People turning into girls, giant monsters rampaging about, the usual. However, the various inhabitants may notice a certain... dankness. The colors seem more subdued, the sunshine seems dimmer and the place feels colder. This extend to the inhabitants as well. Even the most energetic and perkiest of people may feel lees cheerful and peppy.

However, those who lean more towards darkness may feel stronger. Any dark powers they use are amplified, and they may sense the presence of dark creatures within the town...

[Raleigh]

*Looking up from where he had been napping on some random roof Raleigh mutters to himself.* Someone tipped the scales a bit I think. Perhaps a bit of meddling is called for?

Kazuya was walking through town, "Hmmm... my powers are getting a little stronger..." he said as he allowed a little bit of dark energy to pulsate around his arm, "This could mean trouble...? Maybe not..." the time traveler decided to look around town for the source of the disturbance.

Within moments, the lithe form of Ms Chieve arrives..."You called Master?" she asks in a fearful voice...'Yes, you are to find the source of the darkness and report back. The reclamation and inhumane pact (RIP) team is going to love a new toy. Now be off..." and with a guesture, Ms Chieve finds herself in the area near the darkening mass...

Yuu Subara frowned as he walked about, holding a small device of sorts that was scanning the air and getting weird readings that he couldn't pinpoint. "Just what is going on?"

As he lets the dark energy pulsate, Kazuya may notice some bright yellow eyes watching him from a dark alley

There is no area that the darkness seems to be amassing, but several shadows start moving towards and away from Ms Chieve, like they were testing her.

THe readings get stronger as two shadows detach from the shadow of a street light and move towards Yuu.

Ms Chieve pulls out a device that looks like a iPod touch with a satellite uplink on it. The antanna emits a purplish black field as she points it towards the advancing shadows. Several bar graph like indicators can be seen flashing across the screen...

*Suddenly seems to fade out and then in next to one of the shadows.* Hello. What are you up to today?

Kazuya turns around, sensing the presence, "Uh... who's there?"

The eyes get closer and closer. Soon, Kazuya can see their owner. She looks up at Kazuya, twitching constantly.

Looking up, Yuu notices the shadows and backs up a bit. "Stop right there!" He pulls out a light of some kind.

The shadows pause at the light, but rise up from the ground, looking like this. The start circling Yuu, like they were trying to flank him...

The drones may notice that whatever this darkness is, it isn't color energy. And while some of the shadows moving around the city seem to have had some exposure to color energy, they're not like Avatars or anything.

One of the shadows explodes up, revealing itself. It swipes at Ms Chieve with sharp nails as the other shadows emerge from the ground.

The shadow starts and spins around, staring at Raleigh.

The shadows pause at the light, but rise up from the ground, looking like this. The start circling Yuu, like they were trying to flank him...

Yuu halts for a moment at seeing this, noticing that the shadows had become a cute girl. "Focus!" He shouted to himself as he shook his head. "There's nothing innocent about this." He puts on a pair of crackling gloves and attempts to punch the shadow girls!
