Sitting behind a desk on the outskirts of Muffinville, there is a man in black and a man in white. The man in white is smiling, his brother scowling slightly. A small sign is planted nearby, matching the billboards scattered throughout Muffinville.

A CTC HMMWV approaches, and slows to a stop near the desk, a woman in an officer's uniform and long silver hair getting out from the vehicle. Tucking a datapad under her arm, she walks up to the two with a smile. "Hello there... I understand you have some land for sale?"

[Anonymouse]

The man in black--Moon, presumably, gives a sigh, leaning against the table. Sun's smile doesn't waver.

"You hear right! Welcome to the Sun and Moon Super-Sale Extravaganza!"

Moon shakes his head. "What can we do you for?"

[Jello Shot Mischa]

The woman looks over the two, although her own smile doesn't falter. "I'm Special Adjutant Abel, from the CTC," she explains. "Do you have any deeds for abandoned Brotherhood properties, perhaps?"

[Anonymouse]

There is a pause, and the brothers exchange a slow glance. Moon coughs.

"Brotherhood? Oh, er, well. We have some Brotherhood properties, yeah. A couple."

Sun rolls his eye, waving Moon aside. "Certainly, miss, we could check through our (impressive) register of places for sale. Is there any particular sort of property you want in general...?"

[Jello Shot Mischa]

Abel's smile grows slightly as the two exchange their glance. "Well, let's see..." She glances down at her datapad. "Anything related to the Paradigm System would be ideal, but honestly... anything that has been abandoned could be useful. Certainly we've ended up occupying a few on our own, and while we could likely force a claim through adverse possession, it's always nice to do things in a tidier and official capacity."

She glances at the two. "it does rather beg the question as to what capacity you're offering these properties in..." she murmurs, studying them.

[Anonymouse]

Moon opens his mouth to say something, but Sun quickly cuts him off. "I suppose it does, doesn't it! But you know what they say, beggars can't be choosers!" Ignoring Moon as he rolls his eyes, the man in white continues.

"Now! Er. I don't know anything about this..'Paradigm Network' you mentioned, but might I interest you in a cozy Brotherhood aquarium, perhaps? Comes with all the fish intact!"

[Jello Shot Mischa]

Abel continues to study the two men, who might get the feeling that if she had glasses, she'd be peering over them at the two in the manner of a disapproving matron to two misbehaving boys. "Paradigm System, dear," she finally says, "But I suppose as you say... 'beggars can't be choosers', was it?" She smiles again. "Perhaps you could tell me more about this aquarium, to see if we'd be interested... or perhaps these abandoned labs of yours you mentioned in your advertisement?"

[Anonymouse]

Moon, at the very least is looking veery uncomfortable. Sun gives another smile, closing his eyes for a moment.

"System...? Oh, yes, my mistake, Miss. As for the labs..." He pauses, giving Moon an offhand look. "Right, we did say abandoned, didn't we? Well, you might be interested in the Two Doors Mk 2. It was built, but never used after the first one explodes, you understand. In perfect working condition though, or so I'm told! As for the aquarium--why don't you tell her, Moon?" He gives a sly grin, as Moon coughs with a start.

"Oh--er, yes! Full of eels and squid and krakans. You know. Probably genetically modified. Makes good sushi?"

Abel chuckles, taking note of Moon's apparent discomfort. "Hmm, I see... well, in that case, it would likely depend on whether the price is right. I don't have much of a taste for sushi, I'll admit..." She rubs her chin thoughtfully. "What did this 'Two Doors' lab research?" she asks curiously.

[Anonymouse]

Sun smiles. "Oh, color hybridization research. It was quite interesting before things went boom, I hear."

[Jello Shot Mischa]

Abel nods at that, looking thoughtful. "That could be useful, yes... have you any other similar properties?"

[Anonymouse]

"There are a few..." Moon mumbles lightly. Sun nods. "Color facilities in particular, you ask?"

[Jello Shot Mischa]

The CTC officer shrugs. "Research into color energy is always useful, if only to understand it better. Of course, there's other fields of research that would be helpful, as well -- nanotechnology, high energy physics, anything with potential military applications..."

[Anonymouse]

Sun nods slowly.

"Ah, so this is just your basic scientific salvage...? Well, in that case we can hook you up with a pretty --" He raises his hands, making air quotes. "--'off the hook' deal, I think. How would you like a Brotherhood lab combo pack? It comes with the Two Doors facility already mentioned, a bunker of confiscated beige war machines, and your choice of prinny internment facility, Crystal forgery, or spammerspace mass access tunnel."
