Music takes away my depression and morbidness. There are plenty of sad songs in my collection, but none of them make me sad.

Except one. But the reasoning behind my feelings when I hear it are estradiol induced! Thus I won't be sharing.

I have to let fall myself in the pit to come out happy again. Don't know why it helps, but it does.

There was this one country song I heard once about a abused little girl dieing and that girl's friend asking the father were did her friend go. It was on the day they were going to report her parents too. Very sad.

Then there's another one about a father leaving. That one realy got me. (Can't rember the name of eaither)

Has anyone heard "The Ballad of Dwight Fry" by Alice Cooper? It's pretty sad.

"Someday Never Comes" by CCR

It's not depressing, per say, but it always makes me feel horrible inside. It's about a boy who is abandoned by his father. As he leaves, his father says "Someday, you'll understand." Later in life, the boy (now a man) becomes a father himself. He in turn abandons his new family, telling his son that "Someday, you'll understand."

It just really messes me up inside to see that cycle repeat itself.

Oh, I love that song! I love CCR, come to that. Now, a song that made me cry the first time I heard it was "Bigger Than Elvis," by Chicago. It's one of their later songs, done I believe in the early nineties. But the story behind it is that the band member who wrote it was abandoned by his father (along with his mother, naturally) so he could play in Elvis's band. He grew up with no contact with him except for watching him play in concerts on tv. Hence the title of the song, as to him, his father was "bigger than Elvis." Apparently they reunited and reconciled some years later, and the band member wrote this song for him. It's really an amazing piece. Or at least so I think. Then again, I'm biased. I love Chicago, too. :)
