Something that might need to be moved elsewhere

The bald eagle, America's national bird has been removed from the endangered species list by the Bush administration. It's numbers have been recovering lately.

I can't cite this cuz I found the info using the News Channel from my Wii. I guess also that it's ok to start hunting some bald eagles!

Yeah. I bet there were people pumping up their rifles even before the removal from the endangered species list was official.

That's same people will get arrested though, because despite the Blad Eagle no longer being threatened, I believe it's still protected, which means hunting is a no-no.

I could be wrong, so take the protection bit with a grain of salt.

yeah, I'm pretty sure its still a protected species.

Being off the endangered list just means the species isn't at risk of vanishing through normal means by accident

Protected means there are few of them, but enough that there isn't that much worry they'll vanish

I'm sure youd have to have a permit, or only certain days of the year when it could be 'okay' to hunt a bald eagle.

Don't you find that ironic? This planet contradicts itself as much as I do!

At least unlike the planet, you're honest about it!

I find it kinda interesting how just a few years ago, I did a report about Bald Eagles being an Endangered/Threatened Species.

I wonder at what rate their numbers are increasing.

Doubtful it is by enough. Personally I am with old Ben though, the turkey should have been our national bird.
