It just won't leave me alone!

It seems that my poor computer has caught a virus..viruses to be plural. I am using Spyware Doctor with Anti-virus and I when I scanned it turned out I had over five hundred infected files. My homepage was hijacked, I can't get in some of my games..and the only reason I got spyware doctor is because something destroyed the data to allow myself to enter my other anti-virus progams such as "Avast". I scanned through my files and delelted most of them, however there is one adware that won't leave me alone! It's Virtumonde..a trojan I believe...it says that it's located in my C drive Windows folder under the system 32, and in this one folder. I searched I found windows and I found system 32 folder however the third folder was not there. The spyware doctor keeps blocking it's path to it, which says it's linking to the application Explorer.EXE.

Has anyone had this problem before, and if so do you think you could lend me a hand?

Best solution is not to run Windows!

... Okay, okay. Search for F-Prot (it's a DOS scanner); you can't clean out explorer.exe while Windows is running, because Windows blocks access to it, regardless of its condition.
