The song of Obama's presidency

Postby Mitera Nikkou » Sun Jan 18, 2009 8:33 pm

The Foundations - Build me up buttercup (Video with lyrics.)

I think this song will plot out exactly what will happen during Obama's presidency. Even the name of the band is relevant.

Already Obama is being set up to such a high level of expectation that he really has nowhere else to go but down, once reality sets in. Many of the things that he will try to accomplish can't be done on his own, and the people who can make it happen will let him down. In turn people will become more dissatisfied and feel like supporting him even less, even as the people who continue to support him build him up for another inevitable failure.

And that's my prediction. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-haaaa!
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned because only women can give two tits for every tat.

Either he will keep things limping along, actually make them BETTER, or... totally screw up and have our country crumble into dust and flames... and either wallow in decay or flare up into glorious and bloody REVOLUTION!

Which one of these... I cannot say. Because I cant see the future. But if he dosent have the balls to wield some real effing power than nothing is going to get fixed. And it aint going to get better.

Dictator Obama? Why the hell not...
O Muse!
Sing in me, and through me tell the story
Of that man skilled in all the ways of contending,
A wanderer, harried for years on end...

Or when reality sets in, optimism will decline, and people will start to wonder just why they voted for him (this is assuming Bush jr. and Palin don't stay in the spotlight...) yet continue to support him as he tries and succeeds to an unimpressive degree at building our economy?
