Here's a good law to follow. 90% of everything is crap. Just try to find the other 10%.

And HD is a ripoff anyway; the fact is, you don't get much if any real quality boost from HD over normal. They're hoping people rush out and buy all new TV's and such, and on top of that, HD stuff has even more stupid "anti-piracy" BS for people to put up with than normal DVD's.

I don't like TV at all or commercials.

Realty shows have some putty bad actting.

Most of the new shows have this thing called "running over lines". That just makes my blood presuer go up every time it happens.

And I hate commercials...

Did I say that again?

The problem with the TV is that it gets dumber and duller every day.
We in germany even can't produce enough crap to send it, so some of the worst things come imported, mostly from America(the offense just goes against most of the american TV, not against the country itself(unless you think watching"Married... with Children" isthe american thing to do)).
The news are the worst thing. A few years ago I got told what politc was done in my country, now way too many channels want to inform me, that Paris Hilton wants Arnold Schwarzenegger to free her and so on. :x

Married with children? Scary. It's an early nineties sitcom, right? I forget.

They still send it.
Again and again.

Doubtful many watch it in America. Although America, as entertainment active as it is, does spend a lot of time and space replaying old things here and there from time to time. For instance, there're specific channels that play nothing but certain old kinds of movies and sitcoms. Other than that, I hear that it's normal for other countries to watch older shows for one reason or another... So they're totally out-of-date with American culture and what we like. If I remember correctly, Eirien took a visit to some place(s) in Europe and noticed this old, has-been comedian popping up a few times. It was a comedian that I never even liked back when he had been in the spotlight.

I just used it as an example. Many of these showas are of one kind, just in another colour. Still not funny, nor entertaining, but it eats your time while you watch it.
But it's interesting how TV-shows spread around the world. Have you seen some of the rare german movies? Some of them are really good ^.^
Or aren't there many non-american movies in america?

I'm not sure how many non-American movies come in (and translated), much less how much exposure they get so you know they're around. I've seen a few French ones, but mostly the fighting kind of movies is what I'm most familiar with seeing in America, from Hong-Kong. And I'm sure that we get some Canadian and British stuff as well. I won't include anime since it's not live-action. ;p

The barn yard one I noticed when it 1st came out. I just sat there thinking "Well... That's odd...". The avertiseings for "games" on G4 for awhile like Barfight for example is acculy virle marketing campain for a show called "Code Monkeys". Some times virle marketing can just miss the mark so bad, how does avertiseing one fake thing for something eals help generate hype?

If you guys got the Trailer Park Boy Movie in the states, I would laght. That movie was a huge hit here just like the TV show. But it seems with most americans watch it they change the channle after 5 secounds.
