Me too. I only know a couple random words. I'd love to be able to actually speak some of it....

I have a cheat-sheet, but I have trouble memorizing stuff on the spot like that. It has to be almost subliminal. Y'know?

Yeah, memorization is hard. I know I haven't retained anything significant of the Spanish I took in high school. Granted, I haven't used it in so many years, now, that's really no surprise.

I won't lie: I hated Spanish class. I had to be dragged in there. I'm sorry, I just couldn't stand that class. I'll take Japanese, but my school doesn't offer that. I got the sheet from a friend at work.

Speakin' of which, I gotta work 'till 11 tomorrow...

My school only had three languages, Spanish, French, and Latin. I didn't want a dead language, and I like the sound of Spanish better than I do French. Not so many words that sound identical except for one tiny vague hardly noticeable inflection.... I wasn't into Japan so much at that time, so I would have liked to have taken German, really.

The only language class we have is Spanish. I will not go back to that class if I can avoid it at all. I only have 1 more year there after this, and if I can avoid it then, I'll be golden.

Pardon my ranting. I didn't want to learn any other language back then, anyway. I didn't see the point.

Didn't see the point of studying another language? That can be something very useful to know, really. Never know where you might find yourself when, after all.

I didn't see the point because I wasn't planning on leaving the country, and my feeling was if they can come to America, they can learn English. I just want to learn Japanese because that's my mood or something right now.
