good to see your still around and working on your idea's, i've been always rather non-chalant about the subject of eternals and such, never really joining in cause i never really was into the base concept.

and yeah the site keeps going like musa said just kind of the same old... people come and go, and activity rises and falls.
the anti-thesis of myself... come see, feel, know the truth beyond truths it'll just cost your soul.....

To be fair, outside of the fact "Dang, this really arouses me", I was pretty much in denial about how bland the Aeternalae were overall. So I don't blame anyone who weren't into the base concept. There just wasn't enough happening, there wasn't... well... room for actual content. Stories about people with actual character to them. I was kidding myself if I thought the stories could actually really go anywhere except at most a watered down pen and paper campaign. And let's not get started on the hilariously Mary Sue of a character I had in the form of Akemi.

Kerina's novel is special because it appeals to people who feel either way about the Aeternalae. It's not an "Aeternalae story", and it doesn't beat you over the head with them or what they do. In fact, the majority of the cast are not Aeternals, don't even know what they are, and they have their own concerns that have nothing to do with them. No, the main characters have more... pressing concerns, like trying to survey what has happened to their world and what is happening to themselves. It's a much more personal, mature story and it actually has a real plot to speak of, rather than universe exposition in the disguise of a plot. I strongly recommend the story, however you feel or have felt about the Aeternalae. It's pulled their name and meme out of the mud and other sticky material I got it stuck in.

Made the associated post on the Guides to the Universe forum.

One thing I avoided doing is addressing just how powerful Aeternalae are in general. It's all about the individual. Some are almost the same as mortals, while others are OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAND.

I realized when I wrote that post I used some rather ambiguous language. It was like 4 AM and I kinda forced it. Bleah.

Mostly I never really made it clear what the Ae were and what an Ae race really is. Smooth. Sorry.

EDIT: I just noticed one of Nikkou's older captions and it actually fits in rather snuggly with the current "version" of them. Interesting coincidence. It's not only canonical, it's VERY much so (right down to the idea that physical bodies do not carry any memories between reincarnation cycles). Dunno about those demons though, but given how infinite the multiverse is, such an adversary isn't unheard of.

Well, the interesting aspect is that I don't think you knew anything about the "current version" unless you read my LJ or the Aeternalae LJ community. But nonetheless, you captured them well -- the Asuras in particular.

No, no LJ stuff for me... At least nothing except for Kate Icing (if I recall correctly). Just MSF... I can't handle much else anymore.

It is nice to see the Aeternalae with an undercurrent of activity, though. It is the word of mouth of imagination.

Yeah, I have to agree that Kerina's story has been very good. Really helps move things along. Doesn't hurt that most anyone can relate to Kelly's character (in a way, kind of a lurker on a forum with the watching and waiting). So add my kudos to the Kerina compliments.

Who typed up the philosophy and index I found in Pipian? I'm quite impressed that one would go as far as to write 10 pages of info that looked convincing. 8)

It seemed so real that it pushed me near the edge. Sooner or later, someone's gonna put this on TV!

Not sure what you're referring to, P-tan -- if you could provide a URL, I might know who wrote it.

Those are stuff I found. Apparently, they were archived and these relate to before Kate Icing was made.

1 question: Where do you get tho

Nina Anilina wrote:Somehow I doubt anything he came up with would contradict too much with what I was thinking. Basically, every Ae race has a reasion for living above all things. Aeternalae live to increase potential in all that's around them using the power of change. Ewigilenae live to increase passion in the universe, also invoking the power of change (though not as trigger happy as many Aeternalae, who are nearly addicted to it).

Well, I guess Musaloop threw the gauntlet down for me, so I might as well say my ideas, wot?

I haven't gone so far as to storm about what the earwig's purpose are, I'm much to grounded of a person to start there. I start at the bottom and work my way up. My ideas have mostly been about their origins, society, and their form of the "Touch" which I've labeled as more of a "bond" rather than a touch

To me, for the earwigs, the bond is a very intimate thing, beyond relationship intimate, and beyond sexual intimate. There are varying levels to the bond, from a simple "partnership" as it were, which would be a basic empathysharingesque type of bond, to the other end, the full bond that would change zee other into an earwig. I've got varying degrees of detail on that stuff on my computer, just needs editing and what not.

as for their society, I see them as wanderers. This comes from their bond. they bond with someone and then wander around the physical realm for years and years and years. They are rarely seen alone, but coincidentally enough, rarely seen with more than one person travelling with them. Usually it is one they've completely bonded too, so the norm is two ewigilens traveling together. Of course, this doesn't mean they haven't formed varying degrees of the bond with others, just that when they wander, their habit is to do so in pairs.

The other part of their society is that they are run by a council "houses" as it were, tracing lineage through to the first ones bonded to the original earwigs, and those bonded after, and so on and so on. Because of the nature of the bond, they can communicate over vast distances, so usually only the head of houses stay around their world of origin, a world they call "Sanctuary"

As for their origins, thats something I want to talk to you about, if you're still content to let me and my diabolical henchkitty have our way with them

I'll stop rambling
