Argh... I've once again been exposed to too much stupidy... What a cruel world, to have so much of it... Please, post something intelligent... Anything; I don't care what... The world is starting to become my kryptonite... So start an intelligent conversation... Hurry...!

*Collapses*

(No, this is not Muffin material. I'm serious. I selfishly ask for my mind to be cleansed of the horrific stupidity it has recently been reminded of.)

Intelligent... intelligent... hmm... Maybe you should try the Soap Box? Or is that place too serious? Hmm... Let's try this:

"Good an evil are subjective terms, completely dependant on the culture which judges the given actions."

How's that? Feeling better?

Feeling a little better, yeah. It certainly beats, "those who write history are right."

Those who write history are the ones who were left standing to write it. To say they were the ones who were right is to endorce the philosophy of might makes right.

Nope. Nothing intelligent. However, I will say this: If the phrase "I think, therefore I am" is true and really does apply to us as individuals, then if you don't think, then you'll disappear from the universe. Also, that would mean that people are psychic by nature, but maintain the universe by thinking that the universe exists.

Figure it out, Nikky.

Actually I believe that statment to be true, Tsaile.

What's to figure out? I'm already full-figured. ;p Besides, if we were really psychic like that, we'd end up with the chicken and the egg. Which tends to scramble brains. :O

I just think that writing history to suit one's own perceptions and goals is stupid. For instance, some of the stupidity that I came upon recently had to do with females being dumber than males based on their scientific and creative accomplishments over time. Of course, the fact is that females only did so little in comparison to males is because they were often suppressed and disallowed to do a lot of things, in many cultures (even today), and only females with certain social standings or with a wealthy enough family usually had a chance at some real education. Even with that education they usually couldn't apply it to anything special... And in a lot of cases the education (if not concerning things considered feminine, like sewing, cleaning and the like) was focused on entertaining men. It has only been very recently that females have had any real freedom in the world at all; there's a greater variety of ideas that they can grow up with and more choices they can make for where they want to go in life.

It makes me sympathize for the feminists who think they're better than men, even if I don't agree with them. I just understand that it's not easy to not have ill thoughts about those who imprison others, be it for racist or sexist reasons. I dunno... It certainly doesn't make me feel happy about existing.

*nods* The exact same argument is used against black people...by the website http://www.melvig.org

It doesn't exist anymore, but used to say that the NAZIS were correct in killing Jews, and said that one of them was a MARTYR!

As for intelligence, how about the idea that a race that reproduces by parthogenesis, or asexual reproduction, is essentially doomed? Their genetic code is practically static. They're an evolutionary deadend. They will be outstripped by organisms that reproduce by sexual reproduction, even if those organisms are not adapted to the environment at the start.

Before I respond to that third part, what exactly were you getting at? I don't really understand whether or not you're saying that thinking about those things in that way is dumb, or something else.

I can argue that men are smarter then women quite quickly.

1) Assume everyone other than me is of average intellect, on average.
2) I am of above average intellect.
3) I am a man.

Therefore, men on average are a miniscule amount smarter than women, yay! Now of course half of you (The smart women and stupid men) could apply the same logic and reach the opposite conclusion.

This, however, would be a contradiction, since men cannot be both more intelligent and less intelligent than women. I must therefore conclude that the reverse arguement can never happen, and therefore I am more intelligent than all women and less intelligent than all men.

As you see, all men are clealy smarter than all women. QED.

Now just hope that I never take a course in logic, or the world will explode :D .

@May-Chan:

I could agree with you, but if windmills do exist, how can a brave knight fight a dragon?
You see, the essence of your argument is in conflict with the non-existing reality, so to rescue reality you have to deny the existance of windmills and accept the fictional reality of dragons.
