I need some suggestions

I was sort of shanghaied into house-sitting for twelve hours tomorrow, as well as on Thursday, but the house doesn't have much in the way of variety on TV and I can't take my desktop computer over there. If anyone has any suggestions for how I can pass the time, please share them with me. ^_^;

Does that house have computer and Internet? Or can you plug in an Xbox or something? If not, then draw, play cards, watch what little TV you can... Yeah, I know, I'm a blast on Saturdays.

Sleep? Yeah rubbish suggestion I know but that's all I can think of.....
So what is terestrial TV like over there in the US? (I'm guessing that's what they have at that house) Is it as bad as I have heard it is?

I don't think they have Internet. I could probably bring a game or something... It'd just be a pain hooking it up to their TV. A real, real pain. Damn thing's right up against the wall in one of those entertainment things that you stick large TVs in.
And sleeping's out of the question since I'm house-sitting. I'm there to watch and be aware of things, you know?
I pretty much figure that television around the world is generally lacking in... A wide variety of stuff. Aside from the Learning/History/Discovery channels and stuff, all that I find interesting is the Match game, Daily show, Colbert report, and the odd stand-up comedian. I think they have Comedy central...

Read perhaps? A decent book or two should help the time pass I suppose.

Oh, right... There is that. I can try and read the twenty-seven Aa! Megami-sama! graphic novels before I run out of time. I do need to brush up on some of it if I plan to write any fan-fiction some time soon.

hmmm... the wonders @_@ if i had several hours of seclusion... i think... id listen to music and try to be creative, wether artistically or poetically, or, given enough time both would probly happen.

Last time I was in a similar situation I read through the Art of War during the lull. Reading does sound like one good suggestion. If nothing else though, assuming you have some hand held gaming device, you might want to use that.

Well, I survived. I spent my time reading. And appeasing a miniature pitbull with a not-so-miniature gut. ;/

twelve hours of time, pencil ,paper, and an interesting mind like nikkou, i would be afraid to see the outcome.

Perhaps. Either I wouldn't be able to do anything, and end up with a blank paper (oh, the horror ;p), or I'd doodle weird things... Like flying hineys and pooper troopers. I'm juvenile like that. ;/
But I don't really think I have an interesting mind. Sure, it's quite different from most, but I wouldn't wish this sort of mind on my worst enemy. Not that I have any enemies, mind you. Friends and foes are dumb ideas. Makes no sense.

eh if you consider your mind uninteresting, then mine would be flat out boring to you, but yeah, akward doodling can be fun expecially if done in math class. *suddenly notices his math teacher glaring at him* "I didn't mean it like that Honestly!"

I often turned in my tests (among many other things) with doodles on them. Some told me not to do it, but I rarely listened. At one point a teacher started to deduct points off of what would have been my grade, but that didn't stop me, either. Same thing when I was told that I had to show my work (in which case I usually got a 0 when I didn't). What kind of school system kills off someone's learning spirit? How dare they use "school" at all, I say.
At least school wasn't the highlight of my life. That just means that I can look forward to better things in the future. How 'bout that lemonade?
