Is this a successful haiku?

it follows five seven five
sounds like (a) haiku
Then again, 5 - 7 - 5 isn't all that is required for a haiku, but thats really subject to interpretation.

The generally accepted form is no more than 3 lines and/or (not to sure) 17 syllables max, some word associated with a season, and something to indicate a pause of sorts, to add contrast
