Why couldn't I get on MSF the last few days? I always got the white screen of death.

Same here. I'd wait like five minutes for it to load, then I'd get an error.

Isn't it obvious? It's because of my absence. MSF seems to die whenever I need to be away for more than a day. I reckon that MSF fails to work because it's in Nikkou withdrawal.
