Always expect the unexpected

People who know anything about me know that I don't care about the post count. However, considering this, I thought (a bit too late) I'd do something contrary for the fun of it. The time for it, I think, has come: I've reached 10,000 again, and I'm bored and have nothing better to do. So... Let's commemorate my post count. (And by "a bit too late", I meant thinking about it back when I made my first break at 5,000, since the prior record had been made by Coruscate/Kougetsu at 4,000.)

And, once again...

Of course, since this isn't my thing, I don't really know how to properly lord this over you all. Oh, well.

I know! You can tell me which avatar you like most. :P

I can't really decide. They all look awesome to me. Of course I wouldn't know much, because I first joined back on April 23, 2007. They all look pretty awesome to me!

Xia:

Now wait just one Xia-kicking minute, here... 10,000 was legendary MSFer, not postmonger. How can I properly pretend to pertinaciously place myself above people with postmonger? I need to be a legend, damn it!

*I become Munch Kin and bite Xia on the ass*

You got what you asked for!

E/N:

Anyone who thinks that Munch Kin is awesome is a butt-pirating dummy. So, please, don't be like Xia.

But Munch Kin was animated! That made it more amusing. :)

A difficult choice, to be sure. I'll have to think this one over.

Because there's still more titles, beyond 10,000 posts that must be unlocked. :O

That and I came up with the new post-title scheme. Pretty sneaky, huh?

I should have known it was you when I saw the suckiness revealed. Ha!

Besides, it's pointless to have anything beyond 10,000 since prunings will keep people from getting that far. Unless, of course, you make it so the post count isn't affected by prunings. (Which I've seen possible elsewhere, but something not likely to be seen in MSF's future.)

Anyway, after 10,000, last time I looked, there was only 12,500, "Nikkou's Fanclub" or whatnot, which was the rounded number of my highest post count. No one's going to reach that. ;/

And I'm here to smash your hopes and dreams...while there are technically new ranks (up to 25,000 I think), no one will be getting them anytime soon...because they aren't on the forums.

go figure

Technically I already have 25,000+ posts. *Reaches out like Colbert* Proper post count title, please!

And I'm sure for several people that there have been many others that have been in the 10-15 thousands. But yeah. I'm still not quite sure how post counts entirely work since for me it seems to be counted in some forums, but not in others, and other weirdness. I remember doing some experimenting with it a while back, but it'll be looked in.

Just for you and your 25,000 posts or whatever, Nikkou. :P

Last time I was admin *Nudge, nudge* most places counted posts. It was I, the evil admin, that made posts not count in Muffin and Games. Mwa-ha-ha! Well, for most people, anyway... I was too lazy to get everyone, and I shook my fist at the stupid thing only having the option based on groups rather than forums. Other than that, I know it can be done, and I've seen forums that don't lower post counts (and, some cases, topic counts in forums and such) when they get pruned. I bet it'd be better that way, since pruning with what we have now seems to cause an arduous task of having to account for user posts in the process. Perhaps if it didn't decrease the user and forum post counts, it'd work faster and more efficiently. More than enough times I've tried to prune a certain number of posts and topics, and it took forever without a guarantee that everything indicated would be pruned, if any at all. So I had to prune smaller amounts, which still took a while, but in the end was more successful in actually pruning things away.

But, yeah, I have a rough idea of my actual post count. Consider the last few prunes, since I had fallen from around 12,500. They had sent me down to about 7,500, at the lowest point. Not including the posts that I made during that time, just 7,500 to 10,000 is another 2,500 posts, making the total 15,000. I'm sure I've lost at least 10,000 posts with the rest of the prunes, throughout the years, since I remember a few of them taking me down anywhere between 1,500 and 3,000, though most were around the 1,000 mark or so.

And this from a guy who doesn't care about the post count.

Yeah, right. XD

I think we should just reset your post count. And you start again from square one. :P

So that's why my post count was "stuck". I thought someone had "stuck" it for no reason and was annoyed that they didn't do it when my postcount was "420".

It's like a discussion amongst celestial beings, whose ranks (and postcounts) I shall never reach... XD

I like Nympholiciousness. >:F
