Everyone, I keaton, Live in a fairly quiet area of the world, isolated from war and discrimination, but life is life, and it manages to
throw a wrench in even the most uneventful day. what I am trying to get at is.

There was a bomb threat at my school.

I don't really see a reason why anyone would WANT to threaten my school, its boring, ordinary, average, and all together, pointless.
Why go to the trouble of setting off a bomb in a school that has enough money to repair the damage that will be done, and on a
Monday? WHY MONDAY!?!? I personally think its really a joke, that some retarded pot-head decided to get a few laughs from his
friends and say that he had a bomb prepared and that he would set it off at school on October 1st through the 3rd. still....Real or
not, its a waste of effort that the person could be directing towards studying, not thinking about blowing up a high school that isn't
even really that important.

In all honesty, it probably is a prank/false alarm. We had one of those in my senior year. Nothing ever came of it, naturally. Some people skipped that day, a lot of those who didn't were on tenterhooks; there was a lot of nervous tension in the air, just because people were thinking "What if?" But it all came to nothing. I expect that's the case here, as well.

My schools had numerous bomb threats throughout the years. Nothing ever came of them, though cops did stay at my high school for a few days during senior(last) year. I think its mainly people wanting attention, or thinking school will get cancelled or something.

My school has said "Students can have their parents call in verifying that they are going to miss school that day, but otherwise students are advised to go to school."

Really, its a total waste of effort and a pain for those that just want to go through their monotonous day without having to change what they are used to, not to mention, if they actually go through with it, and get caught they are wasting their future, which if they are contemplating blowing up a high school they deserve not having a future.

I mean, why? why waste the effort? why risk a perfectly good future when there are others that have no guarantee of a decent life ahead of them? Why kill innocent people just because you wanted to see a big boom?

To be honest, it's probably more akin to some twit thinking school will be canceled if they make the threat. Some people have no common sense whatsoever.

I know, some lazy Ace decided, "I am gunna threat'n teh school widda bomb so dey cancel school so that wai i don't hafta do nuthin."

But still why waste the effort even just to get out of school for a few days, if you miss the school you still have homework, its retarded to waste the effort.

Some people just don't see it that way. Bet the idiot in question had a test or a paper due that day or something, and was trying to delay/get out of it. Not to mention there are those who will do anything to get out of school for even a day. No common sense, like I said.

*note to self, become straight A student and become Genetic Engineer, re-write a virus that will become symbiotic with the host and increase common sense, Along with a Virus that will allow sudden spontaneous Gender change when the virus in question comes in contact with catalystic D.N.A.*

My old high school had a bomb threat. We went into a "lock down". Everyone stays in there rooms and then the doors are locked. Anyone seen in the halls is detained by the police.

Ok, so, a lot of people get to burn alivein place if there is a bomb. Brilliant.

The doors are heavy steel shock resistant. Two people with sledge hammers can't even get threw.

I find it ironic that they take ALL the students to one place (at my school). A cunning bomber (which there are few) would exploit this and possibly destroy the entire student body and the teachers without much problem beyond someone finding the bomb.

And why make stupid bomb threats? What do they get you besides out of class? What do you hope to attain by threatening people with nothing?

Fear. Power.

I remember a few people who light off a 1000 roll of fire crackers in a hall during home comming. And then a few M-80's in the lockers. One would think a war was going on in the halls.
