No takers?

MSF seems to have run out of people interested in talking about serious things. I seem to be the only one that's active in this area. Say it isn't so? :(

Wait, there were serious things discussed here?

Of course! Doesn't the whole "Tea" part give it away? ;p

If nothing else, I think it made it seem more frivolous.

Serious things don't even need to be discussed in the Tea Room- real life stuff, and generally non RP related stuff can all be discussed here. :O

As for Nikkou, the first week or so of winter holidays is a busy time for a lot of people, give them time to respond. ^^

Haylie:

Flavorful, you goof!

Still, MSF sucks in a lot of ways these days. Two of the three places where I don't fit in are the only places that are really active. Eirien, Jamie, Coruscate, and a couple of others don't post anymore, who normally would post in this general area. ;/

I'm lonely~

Helel:

And where'd you get that? Muffin's for fun, General's for real life and general non-RP stuff, Tea's for serious stuff, and Soap's for hiding certain serious topics for the wimps who can't bare to even be aware that they exist here.

Also, it's not just here, and it hasn't just been around finals and all that. Aside from Muffin and RPs the boards might as well be dead. I know plenty of active people who once posted in certain areas that no longer do; simple as that. It's not a matter of a week's time, here. I should know because my post count should tell you that much. ;p Heck, it's easy to see what's going on even in places where I don't normally post much. I can wait a week but that's not the problem. MSF's just become hollow and superficial, is all. A shell.

Ah, now this is a serious topic. ^_^

I tend to only post in topics where I actually know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, that tends to limit where I do post. And even when I get an idea for a post, I often go back and drop the idea out of fear of seeming stupid or something...

I'm a very cautious person when it comes to discussion.

That's why you should be nekkid, like me. Throw caution to the wind! Just not the kind of wind that comes from my backside. ;p

Seriously, though. Don't think every post I make is some casual affair. Making this topic, and then my previous post, inspired plenty of foreseeable reactions, certainly not all of them good. But I did it anyway: because if you don't, then who will? If everyone ends up hesitating, where will that ever get us? Just speak your mind, I say; with a bit of tact, of course.

I used to be a shy little bugger when I first came here, you know. Now look at me! And without steroids, to boot! :P

I've tried not to think about everything I post, but it tends to happen anyway. It's the main reason I'm seen only around the Regular RP room. That, and my schedule keeps me from being able to get into any of the holiday events or Muffin room stuff. It just moves to quickly for me. :?

I know how that is. But we can still goof around in other discussion areas. Unless a moderator/admin is suddenly stricken with pinched-anus syndrome.

I wouldn't worry about it much. I have all of the time in the world and yet Muffin's no place for me. Why not try out the Twelve Days of Christmas event I posted? No one else is posting in it, so it shouldn't move too fast for you. I don't know if I should :P or  in light of that. :?

Anyway, I think about things, and it still doesn't stop me, to an extent. Just do whatcha gotta do. You can't have fun unless you try to have fun, and all that. It's the only way to spend your time well. *Nods sagely*

That's all true, I suppose. I've just gotta get it into my head to...get outta my head.

Either way, I may just look at that event. Dunno if I'll actually think of anything to add to it though.

I've been wanting to do something to help the site get back on its feet, but I always seem to be busy anymore. Working and such; I guess my skills as a web designer/programmer are in short supply...

I think the definition of 'serious' can be fairly loose, since in the beginning to the tea room, discussions about recipes, what kinda of flavor you like to drink, christmas lists, and the like have all come up in the past- and are totally acceptable. I generally see the general discussion as being more MSF/TG related in that aspect, hence general discussion (with regards to the forums or whatever- I dunno, I always thought of the tea room of just being the civil room, not so much as the 'serious room'). But both general discussion and tea room have their gray areas where there's some overlap depending on what you're talking about- I usually draw the line along when you're being in character or not, and things like that.

That said, I generally take nothing 'seriously', so with your logic I should never post in the tea room. Guess I'll have to go and delete a bunch of posts then.

Brain in your ass, is it? Ha!

You know what I mean. Things have been "serious" in here for a long time. What do you think the whole Soap Box thing was about? Politics, religion and such aren't serious topics? Well, we certainly weren't talking about a priest, a rabbi, and Muhammad walking into a bar. ;p

Although, when you get right down to it, you might as well combine Tea and General into one place, and either get rid of Soap or turn it into a visible place for serious stuff. Seriously.

And with what you assume to be my logic, you shouldn't be a moderator, since that is generally encompassed by nothing. And who needs someone who can't take a responsibility seriously? ^_^
