Do you visit the MSF IRC? How often do you participate?

Are you a member of any MUCKs (like Altered Realities)? Which and how often?

Does anyone remember the planned MSF MUCK?

I visit MSF IRC every single day. I participate...fairly often. Try at least once a day but have been known to go a week (or in the case of summer, two weeks to a month) without RPing.

As for MUCKs...that is honestly the first time I've heard of that term...although, my character in IRC IS different than on the forums...

I've been visiting the IRC for 3 or 4 years, and for a long time, I didn't bother with the forum at all. I only initially tried the forum as my time zone meant I often missed people on IRC, so people suggested I come here for the slower pace, but honestly, the forum is no different, people post at IRC pace anyway, so if you're not around, you get left behind.

IRC's one of those things that I can't get myself to use much, just like with my E-mail, IMs and things like that. Forums are pretty much the only consistent form of communication that I use, and even then I've only stuck with this one and have been in and out of another. I'd probably use IRC every now and again if I could connect to the server that MSF's channel is on with mIRC, but I can't, and I don't like using Mibbit. As is stands, I rarely go there and, when I do, it's usually a random appearance only lasting a few minutes.

If I remember correctly, it was also executed. I tried it, but it was beyond my depth, and thus I didn't stick with it. (Muck, get it? ;p) I believe that it eventually died, since the lack of participation wasn't worth keeping it around.

Hey Nikkou, trying irc.dynastynet.net and go to MSF from there. Secondangle has been down for a good while.

Since I got my start on MSF IRC as a mod, I've remained active with IRC since I first started there. That and since I host the bot, I'm practically always logged in, logging stuff. I'm not always around, granted, but I pop in at least once a day to check up on any messages or issues in the channel. :P

As for MUCKs, I've tried them, but they were never my thing. They were too structured/bothersome for me to use them. And that goes toward the MSF MUCK too. Wasn't interested.

I use IRC quite often, except when events in real life attack in massive hordes or when my connection to the Internet for my desktop goes down.

As for MUCKs, I doubt I have, since I don't know what you're talking about.
