Family stuff is strange.

I found out not long ago that I'll finally be an uncle this coming autumn. It's kinda surreal in a way... back when my siblings were getting married starting in the early 90s, I never imagined that the tree would branch out any. I never imagined that I'd be looking down at a little kid and think of it as my niece or nephew.
I almost find it hard to believe.

Here is hoping they don't need the paranormal furball skill set to cope with the world...

Thanks, Ookalf. And somehow, Miku, Materia, I doubt that'll be much of a problem. ()^_^

I became an uncle last year, not that you would be able to tell, since I never see my niece anyway.

I have a friend from highschool who is now a father, and my roommate became a mother last year. It really is surreal.
Good luck and all that, though I feel a little weird saying "congratulations" when a) You didn't directly do anything, and b) the hard part is coming up, it's just the easy part that's done ^^;;. I dunno, I still felt weird about those two cases ^^;;.
Still, good feelings to you ^_^

Can't believe it took until now for me to look at this again. ()^_^
But yeah, thanks Zilla.
I don't know how often I'll be seeing my eventual niece/nephew, since my brother lives a state away, but dwelling on it still gives me a thrill knowing that the family is growing. Finally. Since I've flat-out stated my intention to remain single my whole life, and it didn't look like my other siblings were going to do anything, my mom was starting to get a bit concerned that our branch of the family was going to die out without amounting to much.
