Tagging Threads

Postby Kether » Fri Feb 10, 2012 2:59 pm

What are people's thoughts on Tagging threads for the various Tfs that might occur in them in the Muffinroom/Rp stuff?

Personally, it feels like, if a given kind of TF is something people might wanna be sure not to surprise people too much with, an OOC note in the first post might be best?

^^ That is to say, I think a lot of threads might not have TFs, or maybe be impromptu, or perhaps would have stuff chosen more randomly, etc, so I'm not sure it's as effective a practice as it would be for say, a story archive?

That said, if people like it, I'm not diametrically opposed.

Personally, in light of Muffinville's high Randomness Factor, I don't really see the point.

It's a trifle, if ever was.

I can see the use of it. But I can also see why it's not needed. Pretending this is a muffinville post, if you have some very specific ideas in mind you can just say at the top:

This thread will contain : X Y Z
And now, for something curious.

I am not suggesting it as a manditory setup but "This thread was started with the intention of doing this type of TF" might be useful.

If it's something where one may want to cater to certain people's more specific interests, sure. But it's not something I'd put a lot of energy into, personally. *Glares at the hordes of spambots on the doorstep* Hold that thought.

It's dangerous out there. Take one of these.

I quite like the idea.... It's one reason I kinda skip the Muffin Room altogether, is that it's hard to really find anything that catches my interest. Having tags like that will get me to inquire more.
