A Christian game about murdering non Christians

Yup.

An official take on the "Left Behind" series that Wal-Mart loves to carry and Christian fundamentalists push on their children between fits of angst and misdirected anger at Harry Potter.

Now you too can walk down the street and shoot those nasty non believers in the head with a shotgun! Feel like sending a few atheists to hell? Praise god and pass the ammunition!

For the love of all that is decent! I hope Christian Videogames aren't taken as a representation of our entire faith! I mean, Spiritual Warfare was the only decent one.

It must be hard as anything to put any kind of action into a game based on beliefs of turning the other cheek and being kind to one's neighbor. I figure they're just trying to spice it up so...ya know...something actually happens durring the couse of the game! Things like Super Noah's 3D Ark should have at least taught Christian game developers to make a game that's entertaining as well as having some manner of Christian subtex, on which it failed both counts.

Eh, I figure in the long run, it's just a game. It's gonna spread religious intolerance as much as GTA's going to spread crime, and that's if kids are even willing to play it. I'm more concerned that it's a Real-Time Strategy game, blech! Not that I'm expecting a decent Christian fighting game or RPG, but at least a platformer? An Adventure game?

They won't.

And as a side effect, the "same" Christian Fundamentalists (we call them the American Taliban) who are the same ones pushing for prayer in school and recognition for Christian beliefs in court rooms, etc.

The more they make violent video games the more people start to think that maybe there's some sense in keeping religion, even as popular of a religion as Christianity, out of government.

Is this that game about makeing a christan army to stop the armys of the Anti-Christ, Or is this a differnt one?

X___x

Caues at first I thought you were talking about the army one.
*Reads the article completly*

Edit:
Um. It's a RTS, and it's not about kill the non belivers. It's about killing the armys of the anti-christ. From what I get there is no, "Now you too can walk down the street and shoot those nasty non believers in the head with a shotgun!"

More like comand your group of guys to attack these group of guys. Like any other RTS.

I'm Don't agree with hate messages. But the way I see it, It's not the next "Raceshal cleansing". (It's a free downloadable game by Neo Nazies and KKK. In it you kill Blacks, Jews, ect. It was all other the news. Now that game is full of hate messages.)

I will agree thow, the fact they go on about volient games, But will say nothing about this game is prety stupid. Talk about being Two Faced.

And even thow I'm Christian, I agree. We should keep religon, out of the government. Just look at other governments that have became extremestes other the years. Morales is what a government needs.

Did we read the same article?

This is being provided for a reason.

If they were against killing non believers it would be as validly religious to them as their statements about Jesus in the game, the player wouldn't be allowed to.

Where's the negativity?

Oh you don't get points.

That's not condemnation.

And all the bad guys have Arab names?

A little obvious aint it?

Oh I must of missed the part about Arab names.
>.>

I just read what the game was about, and when it said Anti-Christ I thought they were talking about demons and stuff and moved on. You know. Like all the other game about Anti-Christ comeing to earth.

No more glanceing over and quick google searches for me.

I'm still kinda embassed thow. Like I said from the description of the game it sounded like you were spoess to go after demon armies or something. Ever since 9/11 all Arabs have already been getting alot of shit throwen at them by hicks. To see a game building off that hate is horrible.

I have a feeling theres a good chunk of people that bought that game caues they thought it was going to be demons and stuff like me.

This game may not be as extrem as eathnic Cleaning. But still horrible in the message it tells.

*Sighs* I agree that, if all the bad guys are Arabic, that's a stupid, stupid thing. And, that creating an RTS based on Christianity is not the best option.

But this isn't GTA for Jesus, here. From what I've heard, it's more like Star War: Empires, in that you have two armies, and they fight, and one starts out in a weaker situation.

I'd buy the game, but my computer sucks. I'd say, for what the Left Behind era is like, it's not AS bad as Coruscate/Kuro is saying. It's not a game that will win Tim LaHaye the Nobel Peace Prize, and if all the bad guys really are Arabic, that's just dumb. (If I recall, there were GOOD Arabic characters too...)

But it's not as bad as portrayed. Honestly, the way Kuro says it...It sounds like he's committing the reverse sin. Many Ultra-Fundamentalist Christians misjudge things on false stereotypes. But, then again, so do many people on the other side of the perspective.
