What would you do as a deity?

I'm just wondering. Just imagine being promoted or becoming a deity with unlimited capabilities, and what you choose to do out of those limitless options.

I would make the world a more interesting place, and somewhere that good people would not always be at the whim of those who are stronger than them.

I would 1. Make sure my followers didn't distort my message. 2. Make my portfolio Truth, Justice, and Hope for all Mankind.
I would help people survive the tough times, give them the strength to survive. I would help make sure those who commit evil are punished, and those who do good are rewarded. I would get people to reveal hidden truths, and not hide information that should be revealed. Especially politicians.
Oh, and every Christmas Eve I would put on a big red suit, freeze time, and give presents to all the good little boys and girls. (Bad kids get coal.)

the first order of business: Pretty Face the anime... I would have an army of the best animators do it as tribute...
lessee... I'd make sure everyone would respect each other and teach people to hug not hit
then there would be plenty of zappy to go around many paradises for little girls... but I of course wouldn't be mean or unfair with my zappying... those who want it... those who deserve it... those whom it might help... but there would be a dramatic 1,000,000% increase in levels of kawaii~
oh and I would have an apartment in Illinois and Indiana would be kind of like what Australia once was to England...

If they just weren't so relative...
An absolute god shouldn't touch those.

I would use my omnipotence, since that logically must include omniscience, to figure out what any specific action would have on the world and based on that i would alter the world in such a way that the crushing mundanity would be removed, while at the same time the worst hardship and suffering would get eliminated as well.

Quit. The concept of knowing everything is not a pleasant one to me. I enjoy the process of learning. I mean if you literallly knew everything (And this wouldn't be the kind of vague hazy knowledge humans use but precise and complete) then you would essentially have nothing at all to do. Although prior to quitting I might set in motion some strange type of game which spanned all of reality. It might be amusing to set such a thing up then wipe out my own memory and assume a mortal form.
Actually come to think of it I might not completely quit but might rather take on a mortal form which didn't recall my own memories or abilities after setting up such a game of mortals.

Smite. I would see those who hold no true loyalty to their deities, whether it be me or not, smitten.
There is no reason for a deity to exist, if those who 'worship' that deity don't hold a true pledge with it...That is a problem, today...I mean, some people complain about others talking about their religion, yet don't do everything they should, whilst being included in that religion...Bleh...

Order of business #1: Mess with the other deities.
- Morph the buildings of the major world religions to something else.
-- All Christian churches become Buddhist whatever-they-call-thems.
-- All Islamic mosques become Shinto Shrines.
-- All Judaic temples/tabernacles become Ancient Grecian Temples.
-- and so on
Order of business #2: Mess with the mortals.
- Fake the Rapture
-- Relocate all willing (and deserving, see below) mortals to a new planet, where they can start over - but in a well-built body of the opposite sex. Keyword: willing -- and omniscience necessitates knowing who would be willing without going through the tiring 'ask them all' process.
-- Relocate further willing (and deserving, see below) mortals to said new planet, but give them mythological bodies of the same sex (merfolk, centaurs, catgirls, etc)
-- For the mortals that remain, psych them out by going through a lot of the post-rapture prophecies, but have it climax with Ragnarok rather than Amrageddon. Then.... reveal it was just a dream (except for the "rapture" part), and everyone left on Earth tries to figure out how they could all have the same dream.
- Fake the Rapture, part two
-- Send all the good / deserving / positive-adjective folk off to be with their respective deities - creating pocket realms and puppet gods if necessary to make them happy.
Order of Business #3
- Punish the bad folk
-- To save innocents from punishment, cause it so no children can be born to those that remain.
-- To ensure that those needing punishment receive it, any remaining mortal that dies during order of business #3 is reconstructed again the next morning, albeit perhaps with subtle differences.
-- Give them all a scare by chucking asteroids from the asteroid belt toward earth, deliberately missing each time, but having at least one 'close call' a month until they figure it out.
-- Every night while they sleep, each remaining mortal's dreams are punishments appropriate to their crimes
--- Racists get to experience 'life' as the race the derided.
--- Rapists get to experience firsthand every horror they worked on others -- from the victims' points-of-view.
--- and so on
Order of Business #4
-- Redeem those redeemable and either send them off to their respective deities or transform them and send them off to my planet to start anew, depending on their desires.
-- Those irredeemable remain in Order of Business #3 until such time as they are redeemable. For some, this may take a while.
Order of Business #5
- Take care of my world, and let others take care of their own.
-- Disallow organized religion of any sort.

I'd create a world somwhere in the universe to my liking and simply leave this one behind, maybe taking a few people who I like.
I'd then either go through a series of reincarnations, or attempt a role of an actual god for a while, though that'll probably fail so I'd just end up going for the reincarnations idea.
My answer seems so boring compared to everyone else's >.>;

If I were a deity... Hmmmm... I'd probably be omnipresent and omnipotent, but not omniscient. I'd set up a simple system that allows anyone to do anything, save that they don't do anything to the unwilling. If someone abuses their freedom by abusing another's, they get stripped of the capability to attain most possibilities and become other people's puppet for however long I think they deserve to be. If it were an honest accident (which I'd be able to discern), then they lose the capability to attain most possibilities for a short time and must reflect on being more careful. If the accident was caused by negligence, then they'd lose the you-know-what, but also be prone to being effected by what others do without them being punished for it (unless they actually looked for someone like that to do things to). Simply put, while people would be able to accomplish anything (like science way beyond modern science, magic, and who knows what else), they can all be worked toward to make possible, but aren't instantaneously available. If it's in the realm of possibility in your imagination, then it can happen. Save that you don't force anything of yours onto another/others.
Other than that, I'd act as a "buddy", where I'd come if they called me, to talk or whatever. I'd discourage praying to me... X_X
