Suggestions for a fitting name

After living with my mom for the past 4 months I decided I don't want my last name to be Green when I eventually change my name to April-May...

But I'm not completely sure that I even want a last name... Is it possible to just be April-May? Or can anyone think of a last name that pleases me and also has a decent ring with my first hyphenated name?

I've actually been carefully watching credits in movies for last names that interest me... But ones that do don't seem to fit nicely, or they're from some form of euopean leanguages that don't particularly make me happy.

I can paint a beautiful picture with words... but naming myself or characters has always been the most difficult task for me. So, gimme some good ideas msf =)

April (first name) May (last name)

It's pithy and it works ^_^

but April and May are so green and full of life! How can you defy my logic? :P

if you are searching for a last name, perchance find out the last names of various ancestors on both sides of your family.

Legally, you are allowed to just have one name. James Hellwig (aka: WWF's The Ultimate Warrior) legally had his name changed to Warrior so he could use it and the WWF couldn't claim copyright infringement.

The way his works, his children have it as a surname. While Hellwig is a certified nut, I'm sure there are other people who have one legal name who aren't.

As far as I'm aware, those are all stage names, not legal names.

Madonna- Madonna Louise Ciccone Ritchie
Prince- Prince Rogers Nelson
Cher- Cheryl Sarkisian LaPiere

And if they are crazy, Warrior is off the charts.

April-May has (no offense) sort of an awkward ring to it as a combined first name. I suggest following Kara's advice and seperating them into First and Surname.

But that's just my aesthetic opinion.

When I get the chance, or the care, or whatever, I'm going to get rid of my last name, Green, too. It doesn't make sense to have a family name when you don't feel like a part of that family. ^_^; Same with Drevas, my mother's maiden name.

Anyway, you want suggestions, right? Well, one surname that I suggest, is Alexander. And with that, "May" being designated as a middle name.

Or you could just go with "Stellar" for a surname. ;p

I think April May Alexander, or possibly April May as your full name is probably the best choice.

The problem with Stellar is that then your kids would have to put "Stellar" as their last name on their report card.

No need to worry about children. I already have one, for those who may not remember. Her name is Eve Lexi Lansberry. We used her mom's last name because I don't like mine and don't particularly want my little girl affiliated with the Silvia family. And she won't have to sign her last name as Stellar =p I also have no plans of helping develop another child.

My first time useing April May together was in the Matrix online. The idea was my character had some special dates or things that happened specifically durring those months in his life, and that became his handle. For those of you who read the caption about my Matrix avatar, you'll find that it wasn't coincedence that he was really a girl and so. If I ever took the time maybe I could explain that more with a full story... But the point of this paragraph is to tell you that the first time I used the name's it was seperate first and last.

That just doesn't work for me though. Don't ask me why. I've even convinced myself that April Stellar May wouldn't be too bad of a full name. But... It's just not gonna happen because... because I said so.

I eventually decided I might want to have a last name, so I began using the hyphen to have a unique first name. It somehow didn't feel right to just take off May after I had signed so many art peices with April May.

Nothings definate though... four years ago I thought I didn't want to be completely female, and here I am. I'll just keep thinking on it and I'm sure I'll have made up my 'own damn mind' by the time I actually go to change my name years from now.

Thank you everyone =)
