Age: Physically around 20, but mentally/spiritually around 1000 years.

Skills/Traits
Mazoku's use their own energies to create whatever elements they want except for anything holy or light. The more power they have, the greater effect of such spells/attacks.

A mazoku's true form does not lie within the physical plane, but within the astral plane. Whatever is seen on the physical plane is just an image projected by the mazoku. Thus it is practically impossible for normal attacks and spells to actually harm one. A weapon or spell of pure light or a direct attack onto the astral plane would be able to harm or destroy a mazoku.

Having said that a mazoku's true form is on the astral plane, they are able to remove their image from the physical plane and seemingly to be able to teleport.

Whatever weapon and equipment that a mazoku is seen carrying, it is fact a part of the mazoku. They use their abilities to create such items and these items could be seen as a fifth limb of a mazoku and they can't be burned, ripped or break.

Rayka's favoured weapon would be the short sword and it can be seen that she carries her own personnal sword where ever she is. She can channel her powers along the sword and can fire off spells from it or change the property of the sword to a particular element.

Her main abilitesis that she can command the shadows to do her biddings and can change other people's apperance by wrapping them in the shadows and changing them. She is also able to transform the shadows to different elements, allowing her to surprise attack her opponents. Her other main specialty is that she is an expert in attacking other's astral planes body, thus allowing her to be able to render someone soulless.

History of Rayka Elesia
At an early age, Rayka was left in an orphanage in the town of Lukia and she never knew her parents or what happened to them either. The only thing that she knew about herself was her first name.

Having nothing to her name, she turned to ways of a street orphan, making through her early life by petty theft, cheating and lying her way around things. She had made friends with the local bandits and rifrafs. Life wasn't the best, but Rayka managed to get through day by day.

During all of this, the great war between the Mazoku (race of evil/demons) and Ryuuzoku (race of dragons) occurred which didn't directly involve the humans but human settlements were used as battlefields and nothing could stop this from happening.

As the war continued on, both sides had lost considerable forces, the town of Lukia was to be the next ill-fated town to be used as a battlefield for the war.

The town of Lukia did not stand a chance and it was devasted right from the start. All of Rayka's close, personal friends were killed by one devasting attack from a golden dragon, in which it attempted to destroy a mazoku in it's path. Having being caught up in the blast, Rayka was left for dead. Even though she was dying, her mind began to fill with thoughts of revenge and hate for the Ryuuzoku, cold pure hatred for the ones that ruined her hometown and her life. This was all she could think about during her last dying moments due to the fact that she only witnessed the one single attack from that one dragon. Those thoughts of pure, unbridled hatred attracted one of the prominant figures within the Mazoku world, a powerful mazoku lord by the name of Tayara Elesia. Having sensed such negative feelings and seeing that they were in desperate need of new mazoku's, she offered Rayka a chance live out her desires, to be able to make wrath against the ones who in her eyes destroyed her village. The only to do this was to turn herself into a mazoku, a being of pure evil and she eagerly accepted the offer. Before Rayka could say anything else, she was stabbed wickedly in her chest by Tayara and black tendrils creeped along the blade and into the wound, thus sealing her fate forever.

Rayka was trained in the arts of mazoku powers and combat personally under the tutelage of Tayara and soon, many of her other subordinates began to grow jealous and plotted for her demise but having spent all of her human life being a street orphan gave her the knowledge and wits to stay alive long enough for her to grow in power. As the war dragged on over a hundred of years, Rayka continued to grow strong and rose quickly through ranks of Tayara's commands and soon became her second in command. Her most notable achievement for the mazoku side was the defeat of an incoming army of silver and gold dragons single handedly. How she did it no one knows, but it is known that she devasted the Ryuuzoku's side that day.

The other mazoku lords soon beagn to fear Tayara and Rayka and they all plotted to deal with the two before they were any more of a threat in their eyes. Thus led to the full scaled attack from all 4 other mazoku lords onto Tayara and her army. Tayara's army stood no chance and Rayka and Tayara attempted to escape by the means of planes travelling through an ancient and high risk mazoku spell, in hopes that they'll go to a powerless plane for them to conquer. Just as they completed opening a portal, the other lords and generals reached them both and Tayara received mortal injuries. On the verge of dying, she gave all of her remaining mazoku powers to Rayka before sealing the portal shut and sending Rayka off to another plane.

Landing in a different plane, one which she would later know as Emesseff (MSF), she opted to take her former mistress' last name in honour of her. Noticing the different races, including dragons, all collected onto this plane, she has opted to not do anything rash and to bide her time here, gathering information first.

On that note: For the skills/traits section, you mainly described the traits about the Mazoku, and not so much skills. That being the case, it'd be great if you could describe at least another skill or two in order to expound upon how those skills of Rayka reflect upon her race's traits that you described.

Yea, about the grammar... I kinda wrote up this character at around 5am in the morning, so... ^^;
