<sarcastic> No, Nikkou. No, you don't kid. </sarcastic>

But I do.

PS: I accidentally, in my haste, some days ago, put "No" as a response. Sorry: I didn't realize I was reading the second page. :P It made no sense (Pardon me, B-tan.) whatsoever, and I decided to put "No" from the small inkling I thought the posts stated. (Obviously I was wrong, but there isn't anything that can be done against it now. So.. Yeah. :P )

And Cheese Danishes are awesome! They're even better than barrels of radioactive goo. :P

Hater, no one supports you. Least... not that I know of. *smacks with a rubber mallet, which proptly creates an annoying squeaky sound which reverberates in P-tan's ears!*

Well, I find that I'm not really in the mood for writing. However, there is one subject that I haven't elaborated on, or hinted at its intention: excessive convenience. So, I guess I can do something about that.

What is this excessive convenience that I want to get rid of? It's the very same excessive convenience that produces junk for us to eat, because it's "quick", "easy" and "cheap." It's the epitome of the sort of mindset that reflects human error in the brain department. Haste makes waste, simple as that. And people are being adversely effected by this waste, this unhealthy food, making it easy to become overweight and develop health problems. I think I speak for every sane person when I say: who in the heck wants to be overweight/obese and be unhealthy?

I want to put more time and effort into making the "tasty" food be good for most diets. Sure, some food is just naturally in the realm of "bad for you." But there's a lot of artificial food out there that can be improved upon. Just because it's not an outright poison (or shows adverse effects in a short period) doesn't mean that it's not bad for you down the road. I'm not about to sterilize all of the food, but I do believe in making better quality food (for health, not taste) where possible. And, however pathetic I think that it is, I'd even try to preserve the tastes of the foods, that superficial aspect that humans care so much about. -_-

Another excessive convenience that I'd like to get rid of, is medicine. It's just as bad as the food, and more people are becoming dependent on them. This isn't all medicine, mind you... Not at all. There're plenty of good, dependable medicines and treatments out there. But they're vastly eclipsed by the industrial, capitalistic development of crap. You think that taking it step by step is good, and using the available step before improvement is the way to go. Hell-o-oooo! Medicine that's still improving is a sure sign of taking something that you don't need along with what actually treats what ails you. If a side-effect is potentially harmful to your liver and requires blood checkups to monitor your liver while you're on the drug... Gee, there must be something wrong with it, if it can do something life-threatening like that! And I had the opportunity to take such a medicine. For what? Toenail fungus! I wasn't going to put my liver at risk for toenail fungus! Heck, maybe if I were in a life or death condition... Maybe. Regardless, as much as people suffer and need medication/treatment, that doesn't mean that something far from being "good" (by being dependable for treating something in specific without doing more than it should) should be acceptable to take.

With more convenience came less regard for people and things so that things could rush ahead in development. I want to do something about that. Progress must be paced; any professional runner will tell you that you get better results for duration when you set a rhythm and get the most motion out of the least amount of energy. Right now, things have progressed as if someone were running for their life, using too much energy for motion that requires much less. Part of that is due to profiteering of medicine, to get as much as they can now (as far as their development goes) rather than later (after more development).

Or maybe I'm just crazy. I just see a lot to be desired, and I worry about the long-term effects of these chemicals (in both food and medicine), including in generations down the road (look at how diabetes has turned out this century, through the generations). I don't mind how people want to live their lives... But at least have something better than crap on hand to supply people with.

That is very much primitivism, Nikkou. And really making blanket statements about all medicine being crap might be a bit of going overboard. While the amount of medication used could likely be reduced that doesn't necesarily mean all medicine is bad. The same can be said for food, it doesn't necesarily have to be hard to make in order to be healthy and being tasty is not necesarily in opposition to being healthy. Also in your zeal to improve the health of people you might be impinging heavily upon their quality of life by removing things they enjoy from them, and really is improving the objective well-being of people at the expense of their subjective well-being that good for them? I mean being depressed or bored all the time really isn't good for people, even if the reason they is it is because they do things that are "good" for them.

But how can what you wrote there be anything but primitivism?...As well as a rather indiferent approach to aesthetics. Look i want to understand you correctly, but that is hard when the correct interpretation is apparently something other than what you write.

I won't go any further with this, because I'm very tempted to be condescending. It's for my own good as much as yours. This misunderstanding has made me more frustrated than anything that I can think of in years. Probably not even in this millennium. So it's for the best that I just forget about trying and just assume (as I have for more than half of my life now) that it's me against the world. And all that self-pity stuff.
