Typing skillz

I've reached a sort of halfway point. I gave myself a test while I made the options and I can type up some things correctly without looking. Using a non-standard technique that only utilizes three fingers on each hand and neither hand has a definite working area. ^_^; But I've been at it for seven years without ever trying to learn how to type normally, so it has worked out in the end... XD;;

I learned through playing a MMORPG for four years. I'm not incredibly fast and I do make a large amount of mistakes buuuut... I no longer need to look at the keyboard (except to place my fingers or press special buttons)

probably about 30-45 WPM when I really get going...

Sometimes I can, sometimes not. I looked at both the screen and the keyboard while typing this, in fact. My eyes flicker up and down enough that I can't tell for sure which one I spend more time looking at.

Every now and then I look down, the funny thing is if my keyboard is move some what just slightly some times I type out werid stuff xP

I can. I still look at the keyboard, but it isn't a necessity. In fact this post was done without looking and without typos.

Alright, I tested my typing ability and I came up with 81 words per minute. With only one "a" used and nine words that only had two letters since I was actively trying for three or more letters per word. And I made one typo. The contents of what I had written will remain a secret because it was very stupid and silly tale and no one should ever see it. XD;; It is now gone from this world. ;p

Of course, eighty words a minute isn't normal for me since I usually have to think about what I'm writing and all that. So eighty a minute is just pure slammin' with my six-pointers. I think that's rather decent, myself. ^o^

Boy did it work XD 2 weeks later I mastered the keyboard and my words per minute slowly raised...

Then I started playing mmos and my iq dropped from reading and almost letting myself type fluent 1337 s34k @_@

I'm somewhere in the middle as well. While I can type without looking at the keyboard too much, I still glance to make sure I'm hitting the right keys. Muscle memory is only good when your hands are in the right places

I'm kind of at a halfway point as well. I look down at the keyboard sometimes, but only because it bugs the crap out of me if I spell something wrong.

I had a high school teacher do that in a computer intro class we all had to take. It didn't stick, with me. Granted, I've only glanced down a few times to type this, but I'm no touch typer. I do my own weird hybrid variation.
