Hero? What's that?

A hero is someone who puts their life, job, money, and other things of the sort to stand up for what htey beleve in.

Yeah, I'll just stop, because that's all I ever do anyway, is go to the extreme in cases like these.
A hero is one who does right by the majority of the people, but it is generally used within castes of people, not people as a whole. Thus, what makes a hero varies from person to person. An antagonist in our eyes is the protagonist in someone else's.

I'm caught between the 1st and 2nd choices. It is inevitable to kill the bad guys and protect the good guys at the same time, the way I see it.

A hero is also someone who takes burdens upon themselves that, in their opinion, no one should have to carry.

More often that not a hero to me is somebody who does his job not because it is glorious or what not, but because he feels it's right to do it.

Such people rarely think about what they are doing at the time and usually bristle at the idea that they did anything special or beyond what anyone else in thier situation would have done.

To me there are 2/3 types of heros:
1. Kills stuff.
2. Not kill stuff.
(3.) 1 or 2 with metaphors or something.
